Ukiah Woman Seriously Injured During Auto Accident

Authorities reported that a Ukiah woman suffered major injuries during an area car accident that took place on Monday, June 3, 2019. The accident involved two vehicles and took place during the early evening. Police stated that one other individual suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. The latest information available indicated that the injured woman was still in the hospital and updates on her condition have not been provided. California Highway Patrol (CHP) has indicated that they are actively investigating this accident in order to determine what factors may have contributed to the collision.

Folsom Intersection Collision Causes Cyclist’s Death

An intersection collision in Folsom resulted in the death of a bicyclist on June 3. It happened at the crossroads of Iron Point Road and Willard Drive at roughly 6:24 in the morning. A representative of the Folsom Police Department said that the bicyclist died at the scene where he was pronounced dead. The bicyclist was identified only as a male at this time, pending further investigation and family notification. The driver who struck the bicyclist stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police. A fatal collision between a bicycle and a minivan occurred in Rio Linda on May 12. The deceased, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was identified only as a 59-year-old male from Sacramento. The coroner’s office said it will release the name of the bicyclist once the family has been notified. Three Killed in Attempted Hit-and-Run

Tragedy struck on Saturday, May 4, 2019, when three family members lost their lives after their home was struck by a vehicle. The accident took place in Knight’s Landing, a small community between Woodland and Yuba City. Officers of California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that they suspect the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Additionally, reports state that the driver attempted to flee the scene of the accident, but was not successful.

Two Injured in Stockton Motorcycle Accident

Two parties were injured in a Stockton motorcycle accident on the morning of April 30, 2019. The incident occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m. in the area of Walker Lane and Main Street. A Ford pickup was headed westbound along Main Street while a Suzuki motorcycle was traveling eastbound. For unknown reasons, the truck and the bike collided head-on. The driver of the Ford suffered minor injuries. It is unknown whether the Ford motorist was hospitalized for their injuries. The rider of the Suzuki was transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. An update regarding the condition of the biker has not yet been released by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Carmichael Crosswalk Accident

A Carmichael crosswalk accident happened on April 27 that left a teenage boy riding a bicycle with major injuries. The accident happened along Fair Oaks Boulevard close to Palm Drive at around 8:40 in the evening. The injury to the boy, 15, occurred when a Volkswagen Jetta, that was traveling north, ran through a red traffic light, striking the boy. The impact of the collision threw the young man off his bicycle where he collided with the Volkswagen’s windshield.
