Walerga Road Intersection Fatal Pedestrian Crash

A North Highlands fatal pedestrian crash with a vehicle occurred on January 25 on Walerga Road. The accident happened at the Walerga Road intersection with Elkhorn Boulevard around 9:43 p.m. It was reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) that a woman in her 40s was crossing the road and struck by a vehicle going west along Elkhorn Boulevard. 

Watt Avenue Multiple-Vehicle North Highlands Crash

On January 22, a tragic multiple-car collision took place in North Highlands, resulting in a fatality. The incident occurred at the intersection of Watt Avenue and Winona Way around 11:34 a.m., and it led to the entrapment of two individuals inside their vehicles. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) promptly summoned firefighters to the scene to assist in extricating those trapped.

A hit-and-run driver caused the death of a pedestrian in the North Highlands area of Sacramento County on July 26. The fatal collision occurred on Watt and Orange Grove avenues at about 9:05 p.m. when a speeding black sedan struck a female pedestrian and fled.

Female Pedestrian Killed in Accident on Watt Avenue

A pedestrian fatality occurred in North Highlands on November 23 after a woman was struck near an intersection. The accident happened along Watt Avenue near Winona Way at about 5:41 p.m. Officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said a man in a van was heading north along Watt Avenue as a female pedestrian was crossing outside the crosswalk and struck her. 

Fatal Bicyclist Accident Occurs on Roseville Road

A female cyclist fatality was reported in North Highlands on October 30 after she was struck by a motor vehicle. The fatal bicycle accident happened along Roseville Road near Longview Drive around 12:30 p.m., according to a spokesperson for the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District. Sacramento police officers arrived at the scene to discover the woman had suffered major injuries. 

Fatal Accident on Roseville Road May Have Involved Wrong-Way Driver

A multiple-vehicle crash resulted in a fatality in North Highlands on March 3. The accident happened along Roseville Road near Andrea Boulevard. Although little information about the collision was available, officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said investigators think one vehicle was a wrong-way driver, which resulted in the death of one of those involved in the accident. 

Don Julio Boulevard Fatal Pedestrian Accident Occurs at Pop-Up Store 

A fatal pedestrian accident in North Highlands was reported involving two women on October 29. The two women, who were sisters, were at an outdoor sports shop and killed when a driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into them. The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. as the two Carmichael women, ages 60 and 56, were working at the pop-up store, which sold professional sporting gear. 

Don Julio Boulevard Intersection Site of Fatal Motorcycle Accident

A fatal motorcycle accident happened in North Highlands on July 14 after the rider was involved in a collision with a motor vehicle. The traffic accident report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said that the crash happened around 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of Don Julio Boulevard and Bolivar Avenue. Emergency responders with the Sacramento Fire Department arrived and attempted to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, however, the rider died at the scene. The CHP is performing an investigation into the cause of the accident.

Exit Ramp Accident Claims Life of Elderly Driver

An accident fatality happened in North Highlands on February 18 following a single-vehicle crash. The man was in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup heading west on I-80 and entered the exit ramp for Longview at around 8:40 a.m. when his vehicle collided with a guardrail and signpost that was overhead, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The deceased man was identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office as Ellsworth Rudy, a resident of Rio Linda, age 82. 

Bainbridge Drive Accident Happens When Car Jumps Sidewalk

A traffic fatality happened in North Highlands on November 27 when an elderly man was struck and killed by a motor vehicle. The accident happened around 9:18 in the morning at Bainbridge Drive near Walerga Road as the Sacramento man, age 81, was walking his bike along the sidewalk on Bainbridge Drive. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) traffic report, another Sacramento resident, age 31, rode his vehicle up onto the sidewalk, striking the elderly man.
