Local authorities reported that a fatal Auburn hit-and-run took place on Wednesday, October 17, 2019. Auburn Police Department (APD) officers stated that the crash happened in the early morning and injured three people. One of the injured people tragically passed away due to their trauma. The second individual suffered minor injuries while the third was transported to a hospital for major trauma but is expected to recover. The decedent has been identified as Ryan Bonari, an Auburn resident and father. Police say that they arrested the suspected hit-and-run driver late Wednesday night.

Authorities of the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office have indicated that the decedent was a 63-year-old man and resident of the community of El Dorado Hills. The man’s identity will be released after his family is notified. In addition to the decedent, a 19-year-old El Dorado Hills male also received injuries during the collision. Reports indicate that the young man was hospitalized after the incident. California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that they are actively investigating this car accident.

One Killed, Two Injured in Oakley Multi-car Crash

A three-car accident in Oakley left two people injured and another dead on Saturday, October 12. The late-night collision required emergency response crews that were dispatched to medically assist those involved in the multi-car wreck. All cars involved were severely damaged. Two people were hospitalized for their minor-to-moderate injuries. Jose Antonio “Tony” Leon, a 22-year old Byron resident, died at the scene. Two Fatalities Caused By Williams Area Highway Accident

On Sunday, October 6, 2019, a Williams area highway accident left two people with fatal injuries and left another four people with trauma ranging from minor to severe. The two decedents have been identified by Colusa County officials as a 32-year-old and a 29-year-old woman, both residents of Oakland in the Bay Area. However, authorities are waiting to release their names until their families have been notified. According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), this crash involved two separate vehicles and happened just before sunset in a rural location outside of Williams. The crash remains under investigation.

Fairfield Man Identified After Canal Crash

On Tuesday, October 8, 2019, officials from the Solano County Sheriff’s Department reported the identity of a man who tragically passed away during a car accident that took place near Vacaville the day prior. The decedent was identified as Eusebio Praxedis-Reyes, a 50-year-old Fairfield man. According to police reports, Praxedis-Reyes’ 27-year-old son had also been in the vehicle at the time of the accident and suffered minor injuries as a result. California Highway Patrol (CHP) has indicated that they are currently investigating this accident.

Placerville Golf Cart Accident Kills One, Injures One

California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers have stated that a Placerville golf cart accident left one individual with fatal injuries on Monday, October 7, 2019. In addition to leaving one person with fatal trauma, the accident also injured a second individual who was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The decedent has been identified by local authorities as a 44-year-old man from Texas. However, his name is being withheld pending the notification of his family members. The incident reportedly remains under investigation.

Yuba City Hit-and-Run Fatally Injures Teen

On Monday, October 7, 2019, a local teenager was fatally injured during a Yuba City hit-and-run accident. The boy was identified by Sutter County authorities as a 13-year-old resident of Yuba City and student at Franklin School. The Yuba City Police Department (YCPD) has indicated that the collision involved a single vehicle and a pedestrian and stated that the involved driver has been placed under arrest on charges including felony hit-and-run, driving under the influence, and child endangerment. The incident reportedly remains under investigation.

One Killed in Merced County Head-On Collision

One person was killed, and another was left with serious injuries in a Merced County head-on collision on the early morning of October 7, 2019. The crash occurred along Highway 165 near Los Banos just south of the San Joaquin River, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported. Authorities said a southbound 2019 Honda Civic was involved in a head-on collision with a northbound 1995 Honda Civic shortly before 4:20 a.m. The motorist of the 2019 Honda, a 25-year-old Keyes man, was transported via air ambulance to the Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for treatment of critical injuries. Sadly, the driver of the 1995 Honda succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Officials have withheld his identity until his family has been notified.

Two Killed in Stockton Head-On Crash

Two women were killed in a Stockton head-on crash on the morning of October 8, 2019. The car accident occurred along Waterloo Road in the vicinity of Filbert Street shortly after 8:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The head-on collision was said to have involved an eastbound sedan and a westbound pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck was hospitalized for injuries described as minor to moderate. One of the two passengers of the sedan was also hospitalized for serious injuries. Sadly, the driver and second passenger of the sedan both passed away at the scene. The identities of the decedents have been withheld by officials until their families have been notified.
