Fatal Ukiah Pedestrian Crash

One person tragically passed away during a Ukiah pedestrian crash that occurred on Sunday, January 19, 2020. According to information reported by California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident occurred late at night on a local highway and involved one vehicle as well as a pedestrian. Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office officials have not yet reported the identity of the fatally injured individual. Additionally, no other people were injured as a result of the collision.

Deadly Motorcycle Accident in Fairfield

The Fairfield Police Department (FPD) reported that a man tragically passed away during a motorcycle accident in Fairfield on Sunday, January 19, 2020. Authorities of Solano County identified the decedent the following day as 30-year-old Suisun City resident, Justin Wilkinson. The crash involved a motorcycle as well as an SUV and happened during the late afternoon on a major Fairfield highway off-ramp. The crash remains under investigation.

Driver Charged With Drunk Driving in Antelope Pedestrian Death

A drunk driver may have caused the death of a pedestrian, age 65, along south Walerga Road in Antelope on January 19, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The pedestrian was identified as a North Highlands resident named George James Xedes. The accident happened around 12:35 in the morning close to Elverta Road as the man was walking on the roadway and was struck by an older Toyota Corolla being driven by a Rocklin man, age 25. The pedestrian was declared deceased by first responders with the Sacramento Fire Department about 10 minutes later.

Fatal Accident in Rancho Cordova

An elderly woman died, and two other family members were critically injured in Rancho Cordova on January 19, 2020, when a suspected drunk driver plowed into their house at the intersection of Georgetown Drive and Coloma Road. The woman who died was said to be in her 80s and expired at the scene. The other two people who were injured, a woman, 45, and a man in his 50s were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. It was reported that the family was at home watching the football game between the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers when the accident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. The incident is under investigation by detectives with the Rancho Cordova Police Department and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s office to determine what happened. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified the decedent as beloved mother and grandmother, Janice Williams.

Driver Killed in Accident on Auburn Boulevard

A fatal crash in North Highlands left one man dead after his vehicle was struck by a GMC Yukon on Auburn Boulevard at about 8:30 in the evening. According to a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the man is identified as a resident of North Highlands. The CHP said that he pulled out of the parking lot at the Dutch Bros coffee drive-through near Kohler Road and into the path of the Yukon on the boulevard. The driver of the Yukon, age 26, reported he was unable to stop in time to avoid the 2009 Infiniti Coupe. The North Highlands resident was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 9:00 p.m. The CHP is investigating the fatal crash to determine why and how it happened. At this time, it is uncertain if alcohol or drugs were involved. The CHP is asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call them at 916-348-2300.

Fatal Susanville Hit-and-Run

Police are reportedly searching for a missing driver after a Susanville hit-and-run crash that took place on Friday, January 17, 2020. The Susanville Police Department (SPD) reported that the crash left a 37-year-old woman with fatal trauma. County authorities have not yet released the identity of the decedent.

Willits Man Dead Following Lake County Crash

A 44-year-old Willits man sadly passed away following an auto accident that took place near Clearlake on Sunday, January 12, 2020. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is currently withholding the identity of the decedent. Officers from California Highway Patrol (CHP) issued a report stating that the crash involved three vehicles and happened in the late afternoon on a local highway. In addition to the decedent, four other people were involved in the crash. Thankfully, reports indicate that none of these individuals were injured.

Eureka Man Dies in Highway Accident

On Tuesday, January 14, 2020, a Eureka man tragically passed away after being involved in a local highway accident. The man has since been identified by Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department authorities as 42-year-old William Clymer. California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports state that the crash involved two cars and happened in the early evening. Two other people involved in the accident reportedly did not suffer any injuries.

Vacaville Collision Fatally Injures Fairfield Man

A Fairfield man tragically lost his life during a Vacaville collision on Saturday, January 11, 2020. The Solano County Sheriff’s Office has since identified the decedent as 39-year-old Adam Stubbs. California Highway Patrol (CHP) has stated that the crash involved one car and that no other individuals were injured as a result of the incident. The collision remains under active CHP investigation.

Orangevale Accident Fatality Near Madison and Maine Avenues

A vehicle accident fatality was reported on January 12 when a car crashed into a fire hydrant in Orangevale near Madison and Maine avenues. Officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Sacramento Police Department, and the Sacramento Fire Department responded to the call, which came in at about 1:30 in the morning. One person in the vehicle fled, leaving behind four others, three injured and the person who died at the scene. The three who were injured in the crash suffered injuries described as moderate to minor. They were transported by emergency responders to nearby hospitals for treatment and additional evaluation of their injuries. The CHP is investigating the case.
