Vehicle Poised on Top of Concrete Wall After Auburn DUI Crash

A driver suspected by police of driving under the influence of alcohol hit a concrete wall in a DUI crash in Auburn on December 12. The vehicle was thrown partially over the concrete structure, and representatives of the Auburn Police Department reported finding it positioned along the top of the wall with two wheels hanging in midair. The DUI crash happened at about 9:13 in the evening at the High Street and College Way intersection. 

Accident Along S.R. 99 Interrupts Traffic Flow After Two-Vehicle Collision

A two-vehicle collision in Natomas on December 5 left a long debris field and interfered with traffic. The accident occurred around 3:43 p.m. on southbound S.R. 99 just north of the eastbound Elkhorn Boulevard on-ramp. According to the report filed by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision involved a Chevy 2500 pickup, which was smoking, and a Toyota Sienna van that was pulling a toy hauler. One of the vehicles struck a light pole during the crash. 

Madison Avenue Collision Causes Injuries

A two-vehicle crash occurred in the North Highlands area on January 19 that caused injuries. The collision occurred around 7:36 a.m. at Madison Avenue and Auburn Boulevard when an SUV crossover struck another vehicle, which then hit a power pole. According to the police report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), traffic was not blocked by the collision because both vehicles ended up on the right-hand side of Madison Avenue. 

DUI May Have Caused High Casualty Accident

A highway collision in California on January 9 left two people dead and injured six others in San Leandro. The accident, which occurred on northbound Interstate 880, close to the overpass for Floresta Boulevard, involved multiple casualties, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The accident occurred around 1:00 in the early morning when one motorist rear-ended another vehicle, which caused it to overturn. 

Solano Driver Survives Dangerous Rollover

A Solano driver survived a serious rollover accident that took place just outside of Dixon on Monday, April 27, 2020. The car accident reportedly involved one vehicle and happened in the afternoon on a rural road. The Solano County Sheriff’s Office indicated that the driver suffered injuries during the crash, but was expected to recover from his trauma. The cause of this accident remains under California Highway Patrol (CHP) investigation.

Broadside Crash Results in Fatality 

A traffic accident fatality occurred in Arden Arcade on June 24, when a construction company truck broadsided a sedan on the passenger side. The accident happened close to University Avenue along Fair Oaks Boulevard around 11:40 in the morning, according to a spokesman for the Sacramento Police Department. It was reported that a female passenger riding in the sedan died at the accident scene, while a number of other individuals suffered minor injuries. Fire personnel pronounced the woman deceased at the scene of the crash. I want to extend my sympathy and prayers to the family and friends of the deceased for the loss of their loved one.

Overturned Vehicle Collision in Sacramento

A Sacramento overturned vehicle collision occurred recently at the intersection of Cottage Way and Howe Avenue near the Howe Community Park. Although few details were provided by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a major injury was reported in the accident, and it is known that one of the vehicles was a pickup truck. The parties inside the overturned vehicle were apparently unable to get out of the car, and assistance was needed to extricate them. At this time, the identity of the injured person is unknown, and there has been no word on the nature of the injuries. The CHP has not said whether drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Two Car Accident Closes Down Antioch Bridge. An afternoon accident on Highway 160 near Antioch occurred on Monday, October 1, 2018. Fortunately, the two-vehicle crash left both drivers with minimal-to-no injuries, and no one required hospitalization. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) arrived at the scene of the accident and closed down the Antioch Bridge. The bridge closure was lifted after an hour. Meanwhile, heavy traffic flows resulted for about an hour and a half following the accident.
