Officials in Fresno County reported a fatal multi-vehicle crash on the afternoon of Saturday, January 8, 2022. The traffic collision occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. along Auberry Road and involved four vehicles.

Woman Killed in Fresno Area Pedestrian Accident

A woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in the Fresno area on Sunday, April 4, 2021. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the 99 Cents Only Store located at West Avenue and Shields Avenue. A vehicle passing through the parking lot reportedly struck a woman, causing her to suffer serious injuries.

Man Killed in Fatal Car Wreck in Fresno County

An 81-year-old man from Orosi was killed in a fatal car wreck at Hill Avenue and Adams Avenue in Fresno County on the evening of Wednesday, December 23, 2020. The Fresno car accident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. and involved a Chevrolet Silverado and a Toyota Tacoma. According to the Fresno area California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers, the Chevrolet and Toyota were both found in nearby drainage ditches. CHP traffic officers said 81-year-old Gene Butler of Orosi was driving the Toyota northbound on Hill Avenue approaching the intersection at Adams Avenue when he was involved in a crash with the Chevrolet driven by a 41-year-old man. Both vehicles veered off the roadway.

Belmont Avenue and Abby Street Site of Train Collision

A train collision involving a pedestrian resulted in a fatality in Fresno on April 9. According to a representative of the Fresno Police Department, the accident happened in the central part of the city at Belmont Avenue and Abby Street around 8:00 in the morning.

Man Killed After Central Fresno Car Accident

A man was killed after a recent car accident involving two vehicles in central Fresno. The crash occurred in the area of Illinois Avenue and Blackstone Avenue around 9:30 a.m. According to the Fresno Police Department, a Mercedes-Benz sedan was involved in a broadside collision with a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz, identified as a Fresno man, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His passenger was hospitalized for unspecified injuries and is expected to survive. Additional details, including the identity of the decedent, was not immediately available.

Sanger Man Killed After Fresno County DUI Accident

A Sanger man was killed, and a woman was arrested on DUI charges after a pedestrian accident in Fresno County on the night of February 21, 2020. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. at Academy Avenue and 8th Street in Sanger. A man was in a crosswalk at the intersection when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle driven by a 44-year-old woman, the Sanger Police Department reported. Emergency crews responding to the scene transported the injured man, 71-year-old David Pinedo of Sanger, to an area hospital for treatment. Sadly, Mr. Pinedo succumbed to his injuries during hospitalization. The driver stayed at the scene and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. It is unknown whether she will face additional charges for the fatal auto-pedestrian accident. A GoFundMe page has been created on behalf of Mr. Pinedo’s family to help cover his funeral expenses.

Passenger Killed After Fresno County Car Accident

A passenger was killed, and three others were injured after a car accident in Fresno County on the morning of February 20, 2020. The crash involved two vehicles and occurred at the intersection of Zediker Avenue and Dinuba Avenue near Parlier, CA. One of the drivers reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck on the front passenger side by another car, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Both vehicles sustained severe damage. A total of three parties, including the driver and two passengers of the car that was broadsided, were transported to area hospitals for treatment of moderate to serious injuries. Sadly, one of the passengers, a 56-year-old woman, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Officials have withheld her identity until her family has been notified.

Two Teens Killed After Car Accident in Clovis

Two teens were killed after a car accident in Clovis, CA, on the night of February 7, 2020. The crash occurred around 11:40 p.m. in the area of Bullard Avenue and Armstrong Avenue, according to the Clovis Police Department. A 16-year-old student from Clovis High School and a 17-year-old student from Gateway High School were driving together in a 2001 BMW 3 series. For unknown reasons, the BMW reportedly collided with a tree. The BMW was severely damaged, and both teens inside the car were pinned in, police said. Sadly, they were pronounced deceased at the scene upon arrival of American Ambulance and Clovis Fire Department officials. Separate GoFundMe pages have been established on the part of the Clovis High School student and the Gateway High School student to help cover their funeral expenses.

Woman Killed After Fresno Hit and Run Accident

A woman was killed after a hit and run accident in northeast Fresno, CA, on the night of January 18, 2020. The incident occurred in the area of Shaw Road and Cedar Avenue near California State University, Fresno (Fresno State). A woman attempted to cross the street to get McDonald’s for her family when she was hit by an oncoming vehicle, according to the Fresno Police Department. The impact caused her to fall on the pavement, where she was struck by a second vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle called 911 and was cooperative during the investigation. However, the driver of the second car fled the scene, leaving a piece of the car behind. Investigators used the wheel well and right front bumper to identify the suspect vehicle as a gold Honda. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has identified the decedent as Laura Bryant, 56, of Fresno.
