An Uber accident occurred in Roseville on December 13 when the driver struck and killed a pedestrian. The accident happened along Sunrise Boulevard near Twin Oaks Avenue around 2:00 in the morning. The incident report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said the Uber driver was giving a ride to someone when the pedestrian walked in front of the vehicle.

A new traffic signal has been installed in the City of Roseville at the Golfland Sunsplash Driveway and Taylor Road intersection. The new signal was activated on Thursday, November 17th, and is designed to help motorists and pedestrians.

Accident on Riverside Avenue On-Ramp Injures Mother and Costs the Life of Her Child

A two-vehicle crash in Roseville on November 16 killed a minor child and sent the mother to a hospital. The accident happened along Interstate 80 at Riverside Avenue sometime before 9:00 a.m., according to the report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The woman and her child were riding in a sedan. The driver of the other vehicle was in a pickup. 

Interstate 80 Crash Near On-Ramp Results in Major Injury

A multiple-vehicle crash stalled traffic for almost two hours on November 8 along the Alan S. Hart Freeway in Roseville. The collision occurred along westbound I-80 at the eastbound Douglas Boulevard on-ramp at around 9:37 a.m. A semi was involved in the collision, which also included two pickup trucks. 

Coach’s Home Sports Business Allegedly Used to Sexually Abuse Children

A wrestling coach with a home business in Roseville was placed under arrest and faces alleged sexual abuse charges that involved committing acts with children under 18. According to the Roseville Police Department, the coach, age 50, was arrested on September 20. The coach in custody was a member of Olympic for Team USA and also operates a training business for sports from his home. 

Driver Arrested After Striking Another Vehicle on Roseville Parkway and Fleeing

A hit-and-run driver in Roseville left behind evidence that got him arrested. The accident occurred on Roseville Parkway near Creekside Ridge Drive around dinner time when a BMW was rear-ended by a Ford F-250. The pickup driver fled the scene without realizing that his truck left a tell-tale indentation on the other vehicle. The indent was the pickup driver’s license plate number. 

Dirt Bike Rider Injured at Olive Ranch Road Intersection

A hit-and-run causing injuries occurred east of Roseville on August 30 that sent one person to the hospital. The accident happened around 7:09 p.m. at the intersection of Olive Ranch Road and Leona Way in Granite Bay between an alleged Uber vehicle and someone riding a dirt bike. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that first responders with the Placer County Fire Department arrived at the scene and transported the injured rider to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with undescribed injuries. The dirt bike was removed by a tow truck. Investigators with the CHP are working on why the accident happened and to locate the hit-and-run driver in the incident.

Accident on SR 65 Wedges Sedan Against Big Rig

A big rig crash with a small sedan happened in Roseville on August 29. The collision occurred around 11:14 a.m. on southbound State Route 65 just south of the Pleasant Grove on-ramp. Although it is yet unknown how the collision occurred, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a Kia Rio, which is a small sedan, was wedged parallel in the grill of a semi.
