Accident along U.S. 50 Occurs When Driver Hits Cement Wall

The driver of a Nissan Maxima was injured in a West Sacramento traffic crash on July 10 when their vehicle went out of control along westbound U.S. 50. The collision occurred near the eastbound Cap City Freeway connector around 4:21 p.m. According to the accident report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the driver’s vehicle struck a cement wall and went off the roadway into a ditch on the right-hand side of the highway. 

Driver Trapped in Two-Vehicle Crash on Westbound Highway 50

A two-vehicle crash recently required that one driver be extricated from their vehicle by the West Sacramento Fire Department. The accident happened along Highway 50 westbound near Jefferson Boulevard shortly before noon. Three people were involved in the accident, and the driver of a convertible remained pinned inside their car. 

Accident on I-80 Near Enterprise Boulevard Results in Minor Injuries

A two-vehicle collision on a West Sacramento freeway on June 30 resulted in minor injuries. The accident was reported around 7:42 a.m. at westbound Interstate 80 east of the off-ramp at Enterprise Boulevard. A report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that the crash involved a truck and a Nissan van. 

Injury Accident Reported Near Pioneer Memorial Bridge 

A West Sacramento traffic crash between two vehicles ended up with two people being transported to a hospital with injuries on June 30. The crash occurred around 8:18 a.m. along westbound U.S. 50 just west of the Jefferson Boulevard off-ramp near Pioneer Memorial Bridge. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) report said that a Jeep Discovery and Ford sedan were involved in the collision, which blocked the number one lane. Fault in the accident is being investigated by the CHP.

Accident on I-80 Involves Fleeing Motorist

A West Sacramento hit-and-run left one person with injuries on May 9. The collision occurred along eastbound I-80 at the Reed Avenue off-ramp around 5:47 p.m. When officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) arrived, they discovered a van pulled over to the right-hand side of the road as well as a Honda Civic. 

Accident Caused by Speeding Driver Involves Multiple Vehicles

A multiple-vehicle crash was reported along the Yolo Causeway in West Sacramento on February 18 that involved a speeding driver. The accident ensued on westbound Interstate 80 after authorities were called to a neighborhood on Silver Eagle Road at about 4:00 p.m. in response to a disturbance involving gunfire. 

Two Vehicles Collide on I-80 

A traffic crash in West Sacramento was reported on February 17. The accident happened along I-80 eastbound close to the exit at Enterprise Boulevard at about 8:30 p.m. Officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said the vehicles were at the side of the Yolo Causeway, but tow trucks were able to remove them. 

Accident on I-80 Causes Injury to at Least One Person

A two-vehicle crash involving a box truck and sedan occurred in West Sacramento on January 4, where an injury was reported. The collision occurred around 3:14 in the afternoon along eastbound I-80 at U.S. 50. The accident report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said that one of the parties involved in the collision had a complaint of back pain following the accident. At least one of the vehicles had to be towed from the scene of the two-vehicle crash. Investigators are determining how the collision occurred and assigning fault to the negligent driver. 

Accident on US 50 Causes Injury to Driver in Single-Vehicle Crash

A single-vehicle injury accident was reported in West Sacramento on December 13 when a driver lost control of their car. The collision occurred around 5:29 a.m. on westbound US 50 near the South River Road off-ramp. The incident report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that the vehicle was left undrivable and was towed from the accident scene.
