Accident on U.S. 50 Kills One Person and Injures Others

A traffic fatality was reported in Rancho Cordova on June 19 following a two-vehicle accident along U.S. 50. The collision occurred around 11:10 p.m. along westbound U.S. 50 just west of the Zinfandel Drive off-ramp between two vehicles, one of which was hauling a trailer, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). One of the vehicles overturned in the collision. Drunk or drugged driving was not ruled out as a factor in the accident, and a phlebotomist was called to administer a blood test on one person. 

Accident Investigation on Trinity River Drive Concludes With Arrest of Driver

A man has been arrested following a hit-and-run pedestrian fatality accident that occurred in Rancho Cordova back in November. The accident occurred around Trinity River Drive at Sunset Boulevard, according to a spokesperson with the Rancho Cordova Police Department. The man who is suspected of fleeing the scene of the accident was from Sacramento and is being held at the Sacramento County jail on $75,000 bail. 

Accident Near Zinfandel Drive Intersection Causes Death of Bicyclist

A Rancho Cordova accident claimed the life of a Mather bicyclist on New Year’s Day. According to officials from the Rancho Cordova Police Department, the accident occurred on Zinfandel Drive southbound near International Drive around 7:00 p.m. A motorist who was driving south along Zinfandel struck the bicycle rider as they were trying to cross the road. 

Sunrise Boulevard Scene of Single-Vehicle Accident Fatality

An accident fatality involving a single vehicle occurred in Rancho Cordova on December 13 after the driver struck a tree. The collision occurred around 8:00 p.m. near the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and Douglas Road. Emergency responders with the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District reported the accident on Twitter and said the driver had to be extricated from their vehicle but died in the collision. 

Police Have Lead on Hit-and-Run Driver

Following a recent hit-and-run fatality accident in Rancho Cordova, authorities are seeking information to identify the owner of the vehicle suspected of causing the crash. The accident was reported shortly after 10:00 p.m. at Trinity River Drive’s intersection with Sunrise Boulevard, which caused the death of one man. Deputies with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene to discover the driver had fled. The man was pronounced dead at the accident site by medics.

Deadly Accident at Trinity River Drive Intersection Causes Pedestrian Fatality

A pedestrian fatality was reported in Rancho Cordova on November 8 caused by a driver who fled the scene afterward. The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. along Trinity River Drive at its intersection with Sunrise Boulevard. Officers with the Rancho Cordova Police Department said a caller reported a man who was lying in the road, but they didn’t know if the driver had stayed or left the scene of the accident. 

Accident on U.S. 50 Results in a Traffic Fatality

A traffic fatality happened in Rancho Cordova on July 13 as a result of a two-vehicle accident. The collision happened around 6:25 p.m. along eastbound U.S. 50 just east of Hazel Avenue. According to the incident report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash involved two sedans. 

Single-Vehicle Accident on Bradshaw Road Claims a Life 

A fatality accident was reported in Rancho Cordova on May 10 after a vehicle struck a pole during the evening hours. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on Bradshaw Road northbound shortly before 6:00 in the evening. Bradshaw Road was shut down between Folsom Boulevard and Gore Road while an investigation was conducted, and the accident site was cleared. 

Man from North Highlands Charged In Parking Lot Incident

Homicide charges were filed against a  Sacramento County man following the death of a pedestrian and injury to another in a recent hit-and-run that occurred in Rancho Cordova. The man who was arrested was identified as 25-years-old and a North Highlands resident. He was placed under arrest on January 31, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

Accident on Folsom Boulevard When Hit-and-Run Driver Strikes Two People

A pedestrian fatality with a second injured walker occurred on January 29 in Rancho Cordova when they were struck by a hit-and-run driver. The accident happened around 9:00 in the evening along Folsom Boulevard between West La Loma Drive and Rod Beaudry Drive, according to the report by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department. When officers arrived at the accident scene, they discovered an unconscious man lying in the parking lot of a business, who had suffered significant trauma.
