Motorcyclist Major Injury Reported in Accident at Watt Avenue Intersection

A major injury traffic crash in North Highlands on July 17 injured a motorcycle rider in an accident involving several motor vehicles. The accident occurred around 9:11 p.m. at the intersection of Airbase Drive and Watt Avenue in the McClellan Park area. The report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said that three lanes on northbound Watt were blocked by the collision. The injured motorcyclist was transported to a hospital for the treatment of major injuries. An investigation is underway to determine fault and how the accident happened. 

Bicyclist on Watt Avenue Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver

A bicyclist injury occurred in North Highlands on June 3 after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. The collision occurred along Watt Avenue just north of Roseville Road around 12:37 p.m. When officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) arrived at the scene, they discovered an adult male in his 30s lying in the roadway near the bicycle. 

Two-Vehicle Accident on Elkhorn Boulevard Injures Pedestrian

A two-vehicle crash in North Highlands on May 30 caused pedestrian injuries. The accident happened at the Elkhorn Boulevard intersection with Thomas Drive around 9:00 p.m. The incident report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that the two vehicles were going in opposite directions along Elkhorn when the one heading east attempted a left turn and crashed into the other car. Because of the collision’s impact, one of the vehicles jumped a curb and hit the pedestrian, who works at Jimboy’s Tacos.

Intersection Crash on Madison Avenue and Polk

A motorcyclist suffered a major injury on May 24 in a North Highlands collision that involved a motor vehicle. The accident occurred around 11:39 a.m. at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Polk Street. Although the collision was initially reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) as a hit-and-run, the driver turned around and returned to the scene. Both the motorcycle and vehicle were towed from the scene. The motorcyclist was transported by medics to a nearby hospital for additional evaluation and treatment of their injuries. The CHP is conducting an investigation to determine fault in the two-vehicle crash. 

Motorcyclist Injured on Kirkby Way in Single-Vehicle Accident

A motorcycle accident in North Highlands caused major injuries to the rider on May 13. The accident happened along Kirkby Way between Roseville Road and Penwith Way around 6:40 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) incident report, it was unclear whether this was a single-vehicle collision or another car or truck was involved. 

Accident on Don Julio Boulevard Caused by Fleeing Driver

A hit-and-run with injuries to a juvenile was reported to police by a caller in Carmichael on March 29. The collision apparently occurred when a young person riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle on Don Julio Boulevard in North Highlands around 8:00 a.m. The reporting person called from Coyle Avenue at the Mercy San Juan Medical Center complex in Carmichael, according to the report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP)

Driver Plows Into Two Buildings on Georgia Drive

A vehicle crashed into two buildings in North Highlands on February 17, after which the driver fled on foot. According to the report issued by the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, they were called to the scene of the accident around 10:00 p.m. after receiving a report that a Ford Excursion SUV had crashed into a garage and then into a home. The accident happened along Georgia Drive between Watt Avenue and Roseville Road. Fortunately, no one in either building was injured. No information was released on whether the driver of the vehicle was apprehended.

Accident at Walerga Road Intersection Involves Three Vehicles and Pedestrian

A hit-and-run with reported injuries occurred in North Highlands on December 13 in a three-vehicle collision that involved a pedestrian. The crash occurred around 5:25 p.m. at the intersection of Walerga Road and Galbrath Drive. The police report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that it involved a Toyota and Lexus and another unknown vehicle as well as someone on foot.

A hit-and-run involving a trash truck occurred in North Highlands on December 8 that caused injuries. The accident was reported shortly before 10:00 a.m. on Roseville Road between Myrtle Avenue and Winona Way. According to the report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a collision occurred between a trash truck and a Honda Civic. 

Vehicle Collides With Bicyclist at Madison Avenue Intersection

A bicycle injury accident was reported in North Highlands on October 8 in a collision with a vehicle. The crash occurred at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Harrison Street around 9:29 in the morning, according to the incident report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Sacramento Fire Department first responders were summoned to the crash scene, where they determined the bicyclist had suffered a major injury.
