Orland Teenager Injured In Corning Crash

A 16-year-old girl from the small community of Orland received serious injuries during an auto accident that took place near Corning on Friday, January 4, 2019. The collision involved only one vehicle that authorities say was being driven by a 16-year-old boy who was also identified as a resident of Orland. The girl was reportedly hospitalized after the accident, but reports on her condition remained unavailable at the time of reporting. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers have stated that they are investigating the collision in order to find out what causal factors were involved.

Corning Car Accident Injures Two – Reports from officers of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that a serious collision took place in Corning during the morning of Friday, October 26, 2018. Officers said that the accident involved two vehicles and left both drivers with injuries. While one driver only suffered minor injuries and did not require hospital care, the other was seriously hurt and airlifted to a nearby medical center. The seriously injured woman was identified as Jeanette Torres, a 77-year-old woman, and resident of Corning. Updates on Torres’ condition have not been released by the hospital staff.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that the accident took place on Highway Interstate 5 and involved two vehicles. CHP also added that the accident involved two horses, who were both fatally injured during the crash. The seriously injured man was identified by CHP as 23-year-old Daniel Macias, a resident of the nearby community of Willows. Updates on Macias’ condition have not yet been reported by hospital officials.

CHP has stated that the crash involved two vehicles and, sadly, caused the death of one vehicle driver. About two hours after the accident happened, the deceased driver was identified by the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office as Enrique Ramirez Sanchez, a 55-year-old resident of Corning.
