Family of Man Killed in Truck Accident Forgives Big Rig Driver
A family from Santa Cruz who tragically lost their son in a big rig crash last year has decided to forgive the at fault driver. On Friday, December 11, 2015 family members of the man killed asked a judge not to sentence the truck driver to a jail term. The family of Daniel McGuire love and miss him very much. Daniel died in July of 2014, in a tragic big rig accident, while driving on Highway 17 in Santa Cruz. The big rig driver involved in the crash that ended Daniel’s life said that his brakes had failed as he was driving down a hill. The big rig hit other cars and trucks during the accident. The big rig eventually jack-knifed and crashed through a guard rail.

Music Artist Sting Requires Neck Surgery
The 64-year-old music legend Sting recently revealed he is tying up loose ends so he can present himself for surgery. This after he suffered a painful neck injury on September 20, 2015, at the WWE Night of Champions. Sting entered the ring in a match with Seth Rollins. During that match, Sting suffered a whiplash injury which he adamantly blames on no one but himself. Sting told Ric Flair in an interview that he experienced two “buckle bombs” in the ring where his neck whiplashed. He described symptoms associated with his whiplash injury. Sting revealed he felt a shocking sensation running down both sides of his body. He had the sensation of not having control over his legs. Sort of like a temporary paralysis. He sought treatment from a surgeon and revealed he will be having surgery soon.

Rancho Cordova Honors Anthony Sadler’s Parents
Rancho Cordova honors hometown hero, Anthony Sadler. Mr. Sadler is the gentleman pictured at the far right in the photo above. Being honored is becoming a regular event for Sadler and his two friends. Sadler, was one of three hero’s on a high-speed train to Paris back in August. As you will recall, the Sacramento-area trio, bravely working together, stopped a crazed gunman from carrying out what could have been a horrible massacre. Anthony Sadler’s parents were included in the honors recently.
A Special Tie to Rancho Cordova
Sadler and his parents are longtime Rancho Cordova residents. The family has called Rancho Cordova home for over 15 years. Recently, Anthony with his parents by his side, led the pledge of allegiance at Rancho Cordova’s City Hall. In a celebratory and proud moment, the Sadler’s received the keys to the city.
The Paris Cafe Shooting Incident
Due to the recent and tragic events at a Paris Cafe and Concert Hall, the Sadler family quickly downplayed their celebration. The family, taking the focus off themselves, encouraged the public to remember the lives lost in this recent tragedy. Sadler explained how hard it was to see footage of the recent shooting. He was deeply saddened that this could happen in Paris so soon after what he and his friends did this past summer to prevent a similar massacre.
