Pedestrian Injured in Butterfield Way and Folsom Boulevard Intersection Crash

An intersection crash in the La Riviera area of Sacramento caused injury to at least one person on July 8. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported the accident happened just before 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Butterfield Way and Folsom Boulevard between a Mazda and Mini Cooper. Medical assistance was requested by one of the persons involved in the accident for a complaint of pain.

A Red-Light Runner Causes the Death of an Elderly Man

A South Sacramento intersection was the site of a fatal accident on July 4 that claimed the life of a 73-year-old man. The accident happened at the junction of Stockton Boulevard and Lindale Avenue at about 2:45 in the afternoon. A woman, 25, driving a Lexus, ran a red light on Stockton northbound, hitting the man’s Acura traveling west on Lindale. 

Hit and Run Accident at Sacramento Intersection

A hit and run accident that resulted in injuries occurred at the intersection of Greenback Lane and Garfield Avenue on November 26 at approximately 5:33 p.m. A witness who called the California Highway Patrol (CHP) to report it also followed the hit and run driver to a Safeway parking lot where both vehicles stopped. Paramedics with the Sacramento Fire Department were also called to the scene to administer aid to the injured party. CHP is currently investigating the accident to determine why and how it happened. At the time of this report, authorities have not said whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the hit and run accident near Starbucks in the Foothill Farms area.

Hit and Run Crash at Intersection in Sacramento

An accident involving a hit and run resulted in injuries and occurred in Sacramento on November 17 along Stockton Boulevard when two vehicles collided. The accident happened around 5:34 in the afternoon at the intersection of Stockton Boulevard and Watt Avenue between a pickup truck and Ford van, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Although the vehicles were blocking the center lane following the collision, one of the drivers decided to flee the accident scene. Emergency responders were asked by the CHP to expedite their arrival to the site to assess injuries sustained in the remaining vehicle. The hit and run collision is under investigation by the CHP to determine how it occurred and who was at fault for the crash.

Two-Vehicle Crash on Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento

On November 8, a two-vehicle crash occurred along Stockton Boulevard in the Florin area of Sacramento, which sent one person to the hospital with injuries. The accident occurred just north of 65th Street at the entrance of Pacific Plaza around 4:17 in the afternoon and involved a BMW and Toyota Camry, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The person injured in the crash was transported by emergency responders with the Sacramento Fire Department to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment and further evaluation. The crash is being investigated by the CHP to determine fault. 

Sacramento Rear-End Accident Leads to Injuries

A rear-end accident in Sacramento on October 26 at about 7:06 in the evening sent one person to the hospital. It occurred on northbound Highway 99 slightly north of 12th Street. Debris was scattered across several lanes due to the crash. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), crews were on site and tasked with removing the debris. However, the 4th and 5th lanes were moving slowly as traffic was directed away from the rear-end accident. One individual suffered what was described as moderate injuries and transported to a local hospital. There is no word at the time of this report what caused the accident and whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
