Two Pilots Dead After Crash Near Yuba City

Two small planes crashed into each other and left two pilots with deadly injuries on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. The accident took place above a rice field near Yuba City and reportedly did not leave any other individuals with injuries. Sutter County Sheriff’s Office officials identified the two fatally injured men as 63-year-old Brian VanDyke and 59-year-old Burton Haughey. I would like to send my sympathy and support out to Mr. VanDyke’s and Mr. Haughey’s loved ones while they are mourning the loss of their family member and friend.

Pedestrian Killed in Yuba Crash

Authorities of Yuba-Sutter California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a fatal collision took place in Yuba County on Thursday, February 21, 2019. The incident happened shortly after sunrise on a rural roadway to the east of Yuba City close to the community of Linda. Officers have stated that a pedestrian was fatally injured during the incident. The pedestrian has not yet been identified by officials. The accident remains under investigation by CHP investigators. Yuba City Area Highway Collision Fatally Injures Two

Authorities of California Highway Patrol (CHP) have reported that a fatal accident took place in Sutter County south of Yuba City on Monday, December 17, 2018. The collision involved three vehicles and tragically cost two individuals their lives. The two fatally injured individuals were only identified as a 47-year-old woman from Yuba City and a 53-year-old Roseville man. Their full identities are being withheld by Sutter County authorities until their families have been notified. Additionally, CHP says that they have this accident under active investigation. According to officers of Yuba City California Highway Patrol (CHP), one woman sadly lost her life during an area crash on Monday, November 19, 2018. The collision happened only a short distance to the south of Yuba City in a highway location. The accident reportedly involved two separate vehicles and left one more individual with injuries. The woman was identified by authorities as a 74-year-old resident of Minnesota. However, her full identity is still being withheld pending the notification of her family. Additionally, CHP is actively investigating possible causes of the accident. Yuba City Area Semi Crash Kills Two– According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials, two people lost their lives during a crash that took place in Sutter County during the morning of Monday, October 8, 2018. Officers reported that the collision occurred at a highway location south of Yuba City near the small city of Nicolaus. Reports stated that the crash involved two passenger vehicles and a commercial semi-truck. The fatally injured individuals were identified by county officials as Levi Miller, a 20-year-old resident of Live Oak and Shane Sturges, a 32-year-old resident of Yuba City. Both had been occupants of a pickup truck.
