Fatal Accident on Quincy La Porte Road in Run-Off-Road Crash

A Brownsville woman, 19, died in a single-vehicle crash on September 23 when her SUV exited the roadway. The accident occurred on Quincy La Porte Road near New York Flat Road at about 11:42 p.m. The accident report by the Yuba-Sutter office of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said that the driver’s side of the Chevy Trailblazer the woman was driving struck an embankment, which caused major damage to that side of the vehicle. 

Accident on Highway 99 Happens After Off-Road Crash

A fatal accident just south of Yuba City took the life of a man who was trying to flag down vehicles that were passing on a rural road. The accident occurred along Highway 99 close to Hutchinson Road around 5:20 a.m. after the driver’s car went off the highway and ended up in a ditch on the east side of the roadway. The deceased man was identified as a resident of Oroville, age 31. 

Arrest Made in Fatal Accident Involving Pedestrian on Garden Highway

A suspect in a May 19 Yuba City fatal accident involving a pedestrian was made after authorities located the vehicle in a tow yard. According to authorities with the Yuba City Police Department, a woman was crossing Garden Highway close to Del Monte Avenue at about 5:50 in the morning when she was struck by the driver of a Honda. The Honda driver fled the scene afterward. The woman crossing the road suffered major injuries in the crash and died later at the hospital.

Yuba City Woman Dies in Crash on Sutter Bypass Bridge

A traffic fatality occurred near Yuba City on January 15 in limited visibility due to fog when she lost control of her car and crashed. The news release by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said the young woman lost her life in the collision. First responders declared her dead at the accident scene.

Highway 99 Head-on Collision Causes a Fatality

A single-vehicle accident fatality occurred on January 16 in the area of Yuba-Sutter, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). In a news release by the CHP, the accident occurred along Highway 99 northbound near Nicholas Avenue. Fog in the area reportedly limited motorists’ vision to around 75 feet.

Multiple Vehicles Linked to Pedestrian Fatality on Forty Mile Road

A man walking on Forty Mile Road was struck by multiple vehicles and died. The pedestrian fatality happened just south of Rosser Road on December 3 shortly after 8:00 in the evening. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the pedestrian was heading north in the number two or right lane of Forty Mile Road. The CHP said the deceased has not been identified at this time and urged anyone who may know the identity of the pedestrian to get in touch with the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office at (530) 749-7777.

Two Killed During Head-On Crash in Sutter County

On Sunday, July 5, 2020, two people lost their lives during a head-on crash in Sutter County. California Highway Patrol (CHP) has stated that the accident involved two vehicles and happened late at night on Highway 99 near Pleasant Grove. Sutter County Sheriff’s Office officials have not yet reported the identity of the two decedents.

Yuba City Resident Dies in Motorcycle Accident

On Friday, May 15, a Yuba City resident tragically passed away after he was involved in a motorcycle accident. Sutter County Sheriff’s Office authorities identified the man on Monday, May 18, 2020, as 51-year-old Bobby Dale Fetty. The decedent was reportedly the only party involved in the accident. Two People Killed in Yuba City Crash

According to local California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials, two people lost their lives during a car accident that took place in Yuba City on Saturday, April 18, 2020. Authorities indicated that one of the fatally injured individuals was a 24-year-old woman while the other was a 2-year-old child. Additionally, a third individual, a 50-year-old, was left with major injuries as a result of the incident.

Yuba City Man Identified Following Fatal Collision

On Tuesday, March 31, 2020, the Shasta County Sheriff’s Department reported the identity of a Yuba City man who tragically lost his life during a local vehicle accident a few days earlier. The deceased was identified as 42-year-old Tilak Madhukar Baviskar. According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), this crash occurred on Saturday, March 28, 2020, on a highway in Shasta County near the community of Bella Vista. The incident remains under CHP investigation at this time. A GoFundMe page has been set up on behalf of Mr. Baviskar’s family to help cover his final resting expenses.
