Big Rig Attempting to Pass Ends in Tragedy

On Thursday, April 22, 2021, one person died following a collision with a commercial truck that was hauling anhydrous ammonia. The big rig collided head-on with a pickup truck at approximately 6:00 a.m. in a rural area within Sutter County, according to authorities.

Tragic Motorcycle Accident Near Yuba City

On Thursday, April 15, 2021, a man operating a motorcycle and his passenger sustained fatal injuries in a collision with a vehicle. The crash occurred at the intersection of Forty Mile Road and Plumas Arboga Road, south of Yuba City, according to a statement issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Hit-and-Run Driver Arrested in Yuba City Following ATV Crash

On Wednesday, June 24, 2020, a man was arrested in Yuba City on charges related to a hit-and-run accident that injured an ATV rider in late May. The collision reportedly occurred in Colusa County and left a woman with major injuries. In addition to the ATV, the hit-and-run driver also struck a second passenger vehicle during the incident, although no other parties were injured.

Sutter County Rollover Accident

On Thursday, February 27, 2020, California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported a Sutter County rollover accident that caused significant injuries. The crash took place in a rural area of Sutter County and involved only one vehicle. The number of people injured during the crash has not been reported. However, at least one person suffered major injuries as a result of the accident.

One Killed in Sutter County Head-On Collision

One person was killed, and another was critically injured in a Sutter County head-on collision on August 4, 2019. The car accident occurred along Highway 99 at Messick Road, just south of Yuba City. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a person driving a silver Infiniti sedan was headed northbound in the left lane of Highway 99. For unknown reasons, the Infiniti driver was involved in a head-on collision with an SUV. The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to catch fire, officials said. Each car carried one occupant. The SUV motorist was taken out of the car by a Good Samaritan at the scene. First responders transported the driver of the SUV to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Sadly, the driver in the Infiniti passed away at the scene. Authorities have withheld the identity of the Infiniti driver until their family has been notified. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost a loved one in this tragic collision.

Yuba City Crash Hospitalizes Two – According to information from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), an injury car accident took place in Yuba City on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. The accident reportedly left two people with injuries. According to responders, both injured parties required treatment at a nearby hospital. Officers noted that one of the injured individuals was trapped inside his vehicle after the collision took place. Staff from the Yuba City Fire Department needed to extricate the man from his vehicle using special machinery. Details about the injuries sustained during the accident have not been made available, and updates regarding the conditions of the injured parties remain unreported.
