Traffic Accident Near North Township Road Causes Major Injury

A Yuba City major injury traffic accident happened along S.R. 20 on June 25 in a collision involving two vehicles. The crash happened just west of North Township Road around 3:30 a.m. The two vehicles, a Chevy Malibu and a Ford Fusion, blocked the roadway, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), and injuries were involved. One of the vehicles allegedly sustained damage that appeared to have indicated a rollover.

Two-Vehicle Accident Under Investigation

The roadway reopened shortly before 5:00 a.m. The injured party was taken to a hospital for treatment. An investigation is underway by the CHP traffic unit to assign fault and discover how the collision occurred.

Injury Types in Two-Vehicle Accidents

A two-vehicle accident can lead to minor or catastrophic injuries. Two-vehicle crashes are most likely to cause the following types of injuries:

  • Cervical sprain or strain: Two-vehicle crashes often result in neck injuries, such as whiplash. Pain and suffering can result from these types of injuries, ranging from mild to severe, and may become a chronic condition.
  • Head injuries: From mild concussions to brain injuries, head trauma can be significant.
  • Chest and abdominal injuries: Trauma to the abdomen or chest can result in internal bleeding, which can be life-threatening.
  • Bone fractures: A traffic accident can result in broken bones, especially when it involves a high-speed collision. A surgical procedure may be needed to make repairs caused by these conditions.
  • Spinal cord injuries: Temporary or permanent paralysis can result from spinal cord injuries.

When you have suffered minor injuries in a traffic accident, you should still seek medical attention right away. Minor injuries can be delayed symptoms of a more serious condition that can have long-term effects on your health.

Why Do I Need an Injury Lawyer if I Get Injured in a Traffic Accident?

It depends on the extent of the injuries. Getting a fair settlement is more likely with the help of a personal injury lawyer who knows the ins and outs of the legal system. In addition to that, they know how insurance companies try to minimize payouts, so they can help you get the full amount you deserve. A personal injury lawyer will also have experience handling cases similar to yours.

As a result, they will likely be able to estimate how much compensation you should get for your case. You don’t have to pay upfront. A personal injury lawyer works on a contingency basis, meaning you don’t owe them anything until your case is won.

An Injury Lawyer Can Investigate and Collect the Evidence Needed to Support Your Claim

After your two-vehicle crash, your personal injury lawyer can use investigators to build a strong case on your behalf. In addition to accident reconstructionists and witnesses, there are other ways of determining liability, such as traffic camera videos, crash scene evidence, etc.
