Three Dead, Two Critically Injured After San Joaquin County Accident

On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, three people tragically lost their lives, and two California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers were injured as the result of a San Joaquin County crash. The collision reportedly happened in the very early morning and involved two vehicles. According to reports, the CHP officers were seriously injured and transported to the hospital following the accident.

Fatal San Joaquin County Crash on Highway 4

A vehicle was involved in a fatal rollover crash on Highway 4 in San Joaquin County on the early morning of May 27, 2020. The collision happened at approximately 5:47 a.m. off State Route 4 near Victoria Island Farms in Holt, CA. A report from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that a car reportedly lost control and drove into the canal.

Injuries Reported After Stockton Car Accident

Injuries were reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) after a car accident on Highway 99 in Stockton, CA, on the morning of May 22, 2020. The crash occurred around 10:05 a.m. on State Route 99 at the Fremont Street offramp and involved three vehicles. They were described as a black pickup truck, a white GMC Envoy, and a black Chevrolet SUV. One of the cars reportedly sustained severe front-end damage in the collision, according to the CHP. Minor injuries were reported in the incident. However, it is unknown whether any parties were treated at the scene or hospitalized for their injuries after the car accident.

Minor Injury Crash on Highway 88 Near Stockton

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported a minor injury crash on Highway 88 near Stockton, CA, on the morning of April 10, 2020. The car accident occurred around 12:59 p.m. on the eastbound SR-88 onramp near southbound Highway 99. Three vehicles were involved in the collision, and a tow truck was called to the scene to remove at least one car from the scene. Minor injuries were reported in the incident, according to the CHP. Further information, including the number of people hurt, was not immediately available.

Infant and Mother Killed in Interstate 5 Accident Near Stockton

An infant was killed in a car accident with a San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department patrol vehicle on Interstate 5 near Stockton on the night of December 14, 2019. The incident occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Interstate 5 northbound near the Charter Way interchange, just southwest of Stockton. A mother and child were traveling in a Ford sedan in the No. 3 lane. Authorities reported that the Ford was being followed by the patrol vehicle when, for unknown reasons, the Ford was rear-ended by the sheriff’s car. The impact of the collision propelled the Ford to the right of the roadway. This reportedly caused the Ford to travel down an embankment, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The deputy exited his vehicle to extricate the infant from the Ford and performed life-saving measures. The mother was also removed from the Ford by Good Samaritans, who also began CPR on her. After medical personnel arrived, both the deputy and the mother were transported to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The deputy was later discharged from hospitalization, while officials reported that the mother remained in critical condition. The infant, identified as a 1-year-old boy, was airlifted to a children’s hospital. Sadly, the mother and the baby later passed away during hospitalization. The San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office has identified the mother as 23-year-old Kalesha Johnson of Stockton.

Two Killed in Eight Mile Road Crash Near Stockton

Two minors were tragically killed, and eight others were injured in a crash at Eight Mile Road and King Island Road in Stockton on the afternoon of November 22, 2019. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision occurred around 3:45 p.m. when a driver of a 2006 Toyota Sienna van reportedly lost control and swerved off the roadway. Officials said the Toyota overturned and came to a rest on its roof in the water near White Slough, a canal in San Joaquin County. Ten individuals were in the Toyota at the time of the car accident, ranging from 13 to 17-years-old. Eight of those parties were transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries described as minor to moderate. Sadly, a 14-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl succumbed to their injuries. A GoFundMe page has been created by the family of the 12-year-old girl to help cover her final resting expenses.

Woman Suffers Major Injuries in Stockton Accident

A woman suffered major injuries in a Stockton accident on October 22. The crash between two vehicles occurred near French Camp Road on Interstate 5 southbound at about 6:50 in the morning. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the Stockton accident involved two vehicles. They were said to be a Hyundai Santa Fe and an undescribed second vehicle. At the time of this report, authorities have not said why or how the Stockton accident occurred, although an active investigation is ongoing. One person involved in the crash suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment. There is no word whether alcohol or drugs were suspected. 

Stockton Car Accident Fatality

A head-on collision in Stockton claimed the life of a man on November 15, 2018. The accident occurred shortly before 11:30 in the evening along Eight Mile Road in the vicinity of Stony Gorge Drive. A preliminary report by the Stockton Police Department suggested that one of the vehicles involved had overturned several times. Sadly, the driver of the overturned vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency responders. Officials have identified the victim as Gurshan Kooner, a 30-year-old Yreka resident.
