Traffic Accident Near Donner Avenue in Roseville

A traffic accident in Roseville on February 20 sent two people to the hospital. According to a representative of the Roseville Police Department, the accident happened during the late morning hours close to Donner Avenue and Sutter Avenue and involved two or more vehicles. One vehicle ended up overturned in someone’s yard. It was not reported whether the home was damaged. The injured people in the crash suffered injuries that were non-life threatening. Investigators with the Roseville police are conducting an investigation to determine how the collision happened and to assign fault.

Car Fire Stalls Interstate Traffic in Roseville

A car fire caused extended delays on westbound Interstate 80 in Roseville on November 29. It happened in the vicinity of the Douglas Boulevard entrance ramp at around 1:00 in the afternoon. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a white pickup truck caught fire along the right-hand side of the road. The truck was thought to be a Dodge Ram, but there is no confirmation of that by authorities at this time. The two right-hand lanes were reopened about 46 minutes later at 1:46 p.m., but traffic continued to creep along due to delays on both I-80 and Highway 65. The CHP said the occupants of the pickup were removed from the vehicle, and the fire was extinguished. The CHP is investigating why the car fire began. 

Goats Wandered Onto the Highway 

Goats escaped their fenced area and caused havoc on a section of road in the western area of Roseville on October 14. The goats moved onto the road at Hayden Parkway and Corin Drive at about 3:00 p.m. It was reported that the goats were able to jump off a ledge and run into the road as they made their way towards a grassy area, resulting in disrupted traffic flow. Sarah Carter, who videotaped the incident, said that the goats ran out in front of the vehicle she shared with her daughter. 

Three-Vehicle Crash in Roseville Intersection

A three-vehicle crash happened in Roseville on June 13 that sent one injured person to the hospital. The accident happened shortly before 8:30 in the morning at the intersection of Roseville Parkway and Chase Drive. One of the vehicles involved was a Ford F-150 pickup, according to the report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The intersection was closed by police while an investigation into the cause of the accident was conducted. It is unknown at this time whether drugs or alcohol was a factor in the accident.

Wrong Way Collision Near Roseville

A wrong way collision near Roseville on December 17 caused a drivers death in a crash with a vehicle going in the opposite direction on Highway 99. The woman in the car that was struck by the wrong way driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment and further evaluation.
