Toyotas Involved in Two-Vehicle Crash

A two-vehicle crash in the Regency Park area of Natomas resulted in one driver being transported to a local hospital with injuries. The accident happened around 1:47 p.m. on January 15 between two Toyota sedans along Sageview Drive and West Elkhorn Boulevard, according to a report by the Sacramento Police Department. One of the vehicles had significant front-end damage. The other Toyota sedan showed damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle. Emergency responders with the Sacramento Fire Department transported the injured person; however, the extent of those injuries was not reported. Traffic became congested due to the two-vehicle crash, and motorists were advised to seek an alternate route. The incident is being investigated by the Sacramento police to determine the cause and to assign fault.

Multiple-Vehicle Collision in Natomas 

A multiple-vehicle collision in Natomas on November 29 occurred on San Juan and Airport roads in the vicinity of Interstate 80. It occurred at 9:30 p.m. between three vehicles. According to a representative of the Sacramento Police Department, one of the six people who were injured in the collision is listed as being in critical condition. All the individuals in this collision were taken to local hospitals. One of the vehicles appeared to have extensive front end damage. Another vehicle has significant passenger-side damage along with a shattered windshield. Both Airport and San Juan roads were blocked in both directions. People who know the area said that speed is often a factor in crashes in this location, but there is no official confirmation that it was involved in this accident. They also said that a stop sign and better illumination would help. Police, emergency responders and the fire department were represented at the scene. An investigation into the multiple vehicle collision is underway at this time. There is no indication as to whether drugs or alcohol were involved. 

Single-Vehicle Driver Injured in Early Morning Crash in Natomas

An accident along West Elkhorn Boulevard in Natomas on November 2 caused injuries to a single-vehicle driver when they struck a traffic pole. The accident was reported at about 2:15 in the morning in the Regency Park area at Elkhorn and Sageview Drive. Upon arrival at the accident scene, crews discovered the vehicle ablaze and severely damaged. According to the Sacramento Fire Department, the single-vehicle driver was removed from the vehicle by a good Samaritan, which is believed to have saved their life. The driver was transported by emergency responders to UC Davis Medical Center for evaluation and further care. It was reported that the traffic pole the vehicle struck at the intersection was seriously damaged and made inoperable by the crash.

Serious Collision Injures Two in Natomas

A serious collision that injured two people on October 13 occurred on a Natomas intersection. The accident happened when Victoria Bryant was driving on Natomas Boulevard close to Club Center Drive, and her vehicle was T-boned by another driver in a high-speed impact collision. The impact of the crash was so violent that Sacramento Fire Department firefighters had to use equipment to free the woman from her car. It was initially thought by medical personnel at UC Davis Medical Center that Bryant would not survive her injuries. However, Bryant is in the hospital’s ICU. The other person in the crash suffered major injuries and was listed in serious condition.

A major accident occurred in North Natomas on June 13 that sent three people to the hospital, with one listed in critical condition. The accident happened at North Market and Gateway Park boulevards at about 7:00 in the evening. Six vehicles were involved in the collision, and some of the cars sustained significant damage. Police investigating the scene of the accident said they did not believe that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
