At least one person was injured after a car accident in Fresno, CA, on the afternoon of January 15, 2020. A woman was killed, and six others were injured in a Fresno County head-on collision on the night of August 2, 2019. The initial head-on collision occurred shortly before 8:50 p.m. along Highway 41 at Harlan Avenue, just south of Fresno and east of Riverdale. A woman was driving a Honda Civic southbound along the highway when she was involved in a head-on collision with a Kia SUV. A second car accident followed. A man in his 30s reportedly crashed head-on with a southbound car that was occupied by a family. The man allegedly struck a woman who had pulled over and attempted to redirect traffic due to the initial crash. A third head-on collision took place shortly after. The same man veered into the oncoming traffic lane and crashed into a big rig head-on. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the woman who was trying to direct traffic suffered critical injuries. The conditions of others involved in the collisions were described as moderate to severe. All were transported to the hospital for immediate treatment. Sadly, the Honda Civic driver involved in the initial car wreck was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials have identified the decedent as 20-year-old Maria Martinez Ramirez of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Moreover, a GoFundMe page has been set up by the family of Ms. Maria Martinez Ramirez to help cover her final resting costs. Five Injured in Fresno County Head-On Collision

Five people were injured in a Fresno County head-on collision on the evening of July 17, 2019. The car accident occurred shortly after 6:40 p.m. near Minnewawa Avenue and Lincoln Avenue. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a 27-year-old man was driving a white Subaru Impreza WRX northbound when he veered into the oncoming traffic lane. The Subaru then crashed head-on with a silver Honda. The Subaru driver and his passenger were transported to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The three women riding inside the Honda were also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Updated information regarding the conditions of those injured was not immediately available.

San Diego Girl Killed in Fresno Pedestrian Accident

A San Diego girl was killed in a Fresno pedestrian accident on the early morning of July 16, 2019. The incident occurred shortly after 2:00 a.m. near East Teague Avenue and North Willow Avenue in northeast Fresno. A preliminary report by the Fresno Police Department suggested that a 15-year-old girl was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The driver reportedly crashed into a tree after the pedestrian accident. Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid. Sadly, the girl was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three people were injured in a Fresno car accident on the evening of July 14, 2019. The auto accident occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. along Peach Avenue in the vicinity of Highway 180. An officer from the Fresno Police Department was reportedly responding to a call for assistance and proceeded through the intersection using his sirens and lights. For unknown reasons, the officer was involved in a collision with another driver. The officer reportedly veered and struck a third car described as a white SUV. The officer, along with the driver and passenger of the SUV, were transported to the hospital for treatment.
