One Injured in Woodland Rollover

A Woodland rollover accident left one person with serious injuries on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. According to staff from the Woodland Police Department (WPD), the accident happened in the early afternoon and involved only two cars, one of which was parked. The driver of the vehicle has since been placed under arrest for charges related to driving under the influence. The crash remains under WPD investigation.

Ukiah Man Dead After Woodland Area Crash

One person sadly lost his life during a Woodland area crash that took place on Friday, February 14, 2020. California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports stated that the accident involved three vehicles and happened in the late afternoon in a rural area outside of Woodland. Yolo County officials have identified the decedent as Jose Moliana Felix, a 40-year-old man from Ukiah. In addition to the deceased, three other people suffered injuries as a result of the accident.

Woman Identified After Fatal Woodland Crash – The identity of a woman who lost her life in a car accident that took place on Friday, September 7, 2018, in a rural area near Woodland has been identified. Yolo County Sheriff’s Office authorities identified the woman as Grace May, a 29-year-old Elk Grove resident, on Friday, September 14, 2018. The crash involved multiple vehicles including two passenger cars and a large commercial tractor-trailer. California Highway Patrol reports that they are still investigating the accident.

Major Injuries Reported on Vietnam Veterans Bridge Collision in Woodland

A serious collision in Woodland resulted in injuries and the closure of Interstate 5 southbound on June 16 due to a car fire and extensive damage to the bridge. Major injuries were reported in the two-vehicle collision. All of the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 were blocked by the accident and traffic diverted onto County Road 22 as a result. A SigAlert was put in place according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and was expected to continue until at least 9:30 in the morning while Hazmat crews cleared spilled diesel fuel. Crews fought the flames from the accident and workers began to repair the damage to the bridge.
