Interstate 80 Fatal Highway Accident in Vallejo

One person was killed in a fatal highway accident in Vallejo on December 21. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported the collision as occurring along Interstate 80 westbound close to the off-ramp for Georgia Street shortly before 1:00 a.m. The crash involved a white pickup and a Lexus sedan. No additional information was provided. 

Single-Vehicle Traffic Collision on I-80 Kills Passenger

An Oroville man, age 18, was a passenger in a vehicle who died in a traffic collision in Vallejo on January 5. The vehicle was being driven by another Oroville resident, age 27. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the Dodge Ram the two men were in exited the roadway and struck a box truck that was disabled on the shoulder of the roadway. 

I-80 Shut Down as Police Investigate Traffic Fatality

An accident in Vallejo that resulted in a traffic fatality shut down westbound I-80 for about two hours. The collision occurred near the on-ramp for Magazine Street, according to the report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) at around 12:33 a.m. The other driver involved in the fatal crash was reportedly driving a white pickup and lost the vehicle’s license plate at the accident scene. 

Accident Near Redwood Parkway Intersection Ends With Fatality

A two-vehicle collision in Vallejo on January 27 resulted in a fatality. The accident happened near the Redwood Parkway intersection with Eagle Ridge Drive around 12:48 p.m., according to the report issued by the Vallejo Police Department. A resident of Vallejo involved in the crash, age 58, was transported to a hospital, according to authorities. However, he died later of his injuries at the hospital. 

Accident on Magazine Street on-Ramp Claims Life of Motorcyclist

A fatal motorcycle crash occurred in Vallejo on January 22 when the rider lost control of the Harley-Davidson he was riding. The accident happened along Interstate 80 eastbound at the on-ramp for Magazine Street, according to the collision report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). An officer with the CHP reported that the motorcyclist was speeding at the time he lost control of his bike. 

Accident on Shasta Street May Have Been Caused When Driver Lost Control

A fatal traffic accident took place in Vallejo on January 1 when a vehicle ran into a tree. The accident was reported by officials with the Vallejo Fire Department, who were called to the scene of a vehicle on fire that might endanger a nearby structure around 9:22 p.m. on Shasta Street. Multiple people called the fire department to say there might be people still in the vehicle. The firefighters arrived at the scene in under one minute to discover the vehicle had become fully engulfed, and people were still inside. Medical personnel with the fire department pronounced both of them deceased at the accident scene. 

Highway 37 Fatal Accident Caused by Jackknifed Big Rig

A big rig accident involving another vehicle caused the death of one man in Vallejo recently when the semi-driver lost control. The accident happened, according to Kevin Brown, a firefighter, and spokesperson for the Vallejo Fire Department, along Highway 37 around 11:30 in the morning as the Freightliner was going west along the roadway near Mare Island. At this point, the truck driver came across traffic that was moving slower, and the big rig jackknifed

Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Vallejo Motorcycle Crash

On Friday, April 2, 2021, a motorcyclist sadly lost his life after suffering injuries during a Vallejo motorcycle crash. At this time, Solano County Sheriff’s Office authorities are still withholding the identity of the decedent but have indicated that he was a 31-year-old man. The Vallejo Police Department (VPD) states that the crash involved two vehicles, but that no other individuals were injured during the incident. One Dead, Five Injured During Suspected Vallejo DUI Collision

On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, one person tragically passed away, and five more were injured during a suspected Vallejo DUI crash. The Vallejo Police Department (VPD) reported the collision and stated that it happened late at night, just off the bank of the Napa River. The Solano County Sheriff’s Department reported two days later that the decedent was Jazmin Addison, a 34-year-old Vallejo woman. Additionally, the incident remains under VPD investigation.

On Thursday, March 4, 2021, one person tragically lost his life after being injured during a Vallejo pedestrian collision. According to the Vallejo Police Department (VPD), the accident occurred in the night on the southeastern side of the city and involved a single vehicle as well as a pedestrian. The decedent was identified as a 33-year-old man, but further information has not yet been released. The accident remains under an active VPD investigation.
