Teenager Dies During Vacaville Truck Accident

On Friday, September 11, 2020, one person tragically suffered deadly injuries during a Vacaville truck accident. The Solano County Sheriff’s Department has not yet released the decedent’s name, but have identified him as a 19-year-old resident of Vacaville. California Highway Patrol (CHP) indicated that this was a single-vehicle collision and that the incident remains under investigation.

Labor Day Car Crash in Vacaville Causes Fatal Trauma

On Monday, September 7, 2020, a car crash in Vacaville tragically left one person with fatal injuries. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the incident involved multiple vehicles and took place during the very early morning and indicated that two additional individuals suffered injuries during the accident. The Solano County Sheriff’s Department is currently withholding the decedent’s identity pending family notification and the crash remains under CHP investigation.

Solano Authorities Identify Two Killed During Wildfires

On Thursday, August 27, 2020, the Solano County Sheriff’s Department (SCSD) reported the identity of a man who was one of two area residents who tragically lost their lives as a result of the LNU Lightning Complex wildfires. The man was identified as Douglas Mai, an 82-year-old Vacaville resident. The other decedent was identified two days earlier as Leon James Bone, a 64-year-old man and also a Vacaville resident.

Two Alameda Residents Killed During Solano County Crash

Two people lost their lives as the result of a Solano County crash that took place on Monday, June 15, 2020. The two decedents were identified by the Solano County Sheriff’s Office as Michael and Fely Pascua, a 72-year-old and 71-year-old couple from Alameda. The accident happened on Highway 505 north of Vacaville near the Solano/Yolo border. The cause of the crash is still under an active California Highway Patrol (CHP) investigation.

Teenager Killed During Vacaville Auto Crash on Browns Valley Road

On Thursday, June 11, 2020, a local teenager tragically lost his life during a Vacaville auto accident in the area of Browns Valley. The decedent has been identified by Solano County Sheriff’s Office officials as an 18-year-old Vacaville resident. The crash involved two vehicles and, in addition to the decedent, left one other person with injuries. Vacaville Police Department (VPD) officers have reported that the incident is being investigated at this time.

Dixon Man Fatally Injured During Rural Vacaville Crash

On Friday, September 27, 2019, one person lost their life in a collision that took place in a rural location in Vacaville. The man was identified by Solano County authorities as William Stevens, a 51-year-old Dixon man. According to officers of the California Highway Patrol (CHP), this accident involved only a single vehicle and happened in the late evening. The incident is being actively investigated.

Vacaville Resident Killed in Run-Off-Road Accident

A Vacaville man driving a Dodge Ram pickup was found dead after a run-off-road accident on eastbound Interstate 780 west of the East 2nd Street on-ramp. The crash occurred on August 12 in Benicia, according to an incident report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The Solano County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased man as Vacaville resident Anthony Jones, 55. A representative of the CHP Solano office confirmed that the driver ran off the road. Authorities were called at about 8:45 p.m. and discovered Jones lying on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the site of the accident. 

Vacaville Motorcyclist Identified

On Friday, July 26, Solano County officials released the identity of a Vacaville resident who was fatally injured during a local motorcycle accident. The man was identified as 57-year-old Albert Martin Daniels. Police say that the man was reported missing a week earlier and eventually found off of the side of a highway in Fairfield. I would like to offer my condolences to Mr. Daniel’s family after they have endured such a tragic event.

Vacaville Woman Identified After Highway Accident

On Thursday, May 30, 2019, a fatal car accident took place in an unincorporated Yolo County. The deceased woman was identified as Linda Shier, a 63-year-old resident of Vacaville. In addition to Shier, two other people suffered major trauma during the accident, including a 55-year-old Vacaville man and a 24-year-old resident of Fairfield. Updates on the condition of the injured individuals have not yet been provided. I would like to express my sympathy to Ms. Shier’s loved ones as they are mourning their tragic loss.

One More Dies After Vacaville Crash

According to officials, one more person passed away after a fatal car accident that took place in Vacaville during the night of Sunday, May 5, 2019. The accident involved two vehicles and happened on a highway location just north of Vacaville city limits. One of the involved individuals tragically lost their life at the scene of the accident while two more people were taken to a local hospital to be treated for major injuries. Sadly, one of these individuals, a 61-year-old Vacaville woman, could not recover and was declared deceased on Monday, May 6, 2019. Officials of Solano County have not yet identified either decedent. I’d like to send my sincere sympathy to those who have suffered the loss of a person they love because of this accident.
