Injuries Reported After Hit and Run in Stockton

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported injuries after a hit and run in Stockton, CA, on the afternoon of May 5, 2020. The crash occurred on Highway 26 near North Duncan Road shortly after 4:40 p.m. A black sedan and a gray sedan was involved in a collision. The impact of the crash reportedly caused the black car to catch fire. Fortunately, all the parties in the black sedan were able to exit the vehicle safely. According to the CHP, one of the drivers allegedly fled the scene after the car accident. Details, including the suspect driver and conditions of those injured, were not immediately available.

Stockton Man Killed in Madera Auto Accident

A Stockton man was killed in a Madera auto accident on the morning of May 12, 2019. The incident occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. along the northbound lanes of Highway 99 near the interchange for State Route 152. A driver of a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu attempted to merge westbound onto SR 152 when he lost control of his vehicle, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported. The Chevrolet crashed into a metal guard rail and cement barrier before becoming airborne and overturning several times. The vehicle later came to a rest on its wheels facing south. The three occupants inside the Chevrolet were all ejected from the car. The motorist was transported to the hospital for treatment of moderate injuries while one of his passengers sitting in the back seat was hospitalized for serious injuries. Sadly, the front seat passenger succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The CHP said that the identity of the decedent will be made available after his family has been notified. Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family of the man who lost his life in this devastating accident.

Man Critically Injured in Stockton Bicycle Accident

A man was critically injured in a recent Stockton bicycle accident near Sonora Street and Sierra Nevada Street. The incident occurred shortly before 8:00 p.m. when a driver of a Chevrolet Impala crashed into a man riding his bicycle in the area. The Chevrolet motorist continued north without checking on the cyclist, the Stockton Police Department reported. The bicycle rider was transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. An update regarding his condition has not yet been released by officials.

Bicycle Accident Fatally Injures Stockton Man

A recent bicycle accident claimed the life of a beloved Stockton man and sushi chef. The incident occurred at March Lane and Percissi Lane shortly after 10:00 p.m. A man riding a Huffy Beach Cruiser bike entered the controlled intersection and was hit by two separate cars. One of the vehicles involved remained at the scene while the other left. Officers responding to the scene found the cyclist lying in the roadway. Medical personnel rendered aid to the injured man, but their efforts were unfortunately unsuccessful. Sadly, the cyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials have identified the victim as 32-year-old Binbin Zhuang of Stockton. I would like to send my heartfelt prayers to those who lost a loved one in this devastating accident.

Stockton Hit and Run Pedestrian Fatality

A Stockton hit and run pedestrian fatality occurred on the night of February 12 along Interstate 5, just north of Pershing Avenue. A person was reportedly walking along the interstate in the No. 3 lane when they were struck by an oncoming vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Investigators from CHP said the driver of the car did not contact law enforcement or stop following the incident. Sadly, the pedestrian involved in the accident succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Officials have identified the decedent as 42-year-old September Escobar of Stockton. We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of Ms. Escobar during this difficult time.

Stockton Bicycle Crash Fatality

A Stockton bicycle crash fatality occurred on the evening of January 18 along Wilson Way and Oak Street. A man was riding his bicycle in the area at around 6:00 p.m. and exited a parking lot of a nearby business. He began riding his bike across the northbound lanes of Wilson Way when he was struck by a speeding Toyota traveling without its headlights on. Sadly, the cyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency personnel. The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office has identified the decedent as 20-year-old Abel Rodriguez of Stockton. I would like to extend my sympathies and thoughts to those who have lost someone they love in this tragic accident.

Rollover Accident Fatally Injures Stockton Woman

A rollover accident in Placer County claimed the life of a Stockton woman during the early morning hours of New Year’s Day. The incident occurred shortly after midnight along the eastbound lanes of Highway 50 near Smith Flat Road. A driver of a 2002 Nissan Altima lost control of their vehicle on a curve on the freeway. This caused the Nissan to veer onto the shoulder where it overturned. Two of the four occupants in the Nissan were reportedly ejected out of the vehicle after the crash. Sadly, one of the ejected occupants passed away at the scene. Officials have identified the decedent as 20-year-old Tiahjanai Livingston of Stockton.

Stockton DUI Collision Fatality

A Stockton DUI collision fatality recently occurred along Interstate 5 in the vicinity of Mathews Road. A driver of a 2001 GMC reportedly lost control and veered onto the shoulder of the roadway. The GMC later struck a parked tow truck and a tow truck operator before overturning back onto I-5 and hitting two other vehicles. Unfortunately, the tow truck operator passed away at the scene of the collision. The San Joaquin County Coroner’s Ofice has identified the decedent as Juan Morga, a 48-year-old resident of Stockton.

Stockton DUI Hit-and-Run Fatality

A Stockton DUI hit-and-run fatality occurred on the night of December 20 near the intersection of West Harding Way and Lincoln Street. Officials received a call of a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian shortly after 9:00 p.m. Medical personnel responding to the scene found a man suffering from major injuries and transported him to a local hospital. Sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries during hospitalization. The identity of the injured pedestrian has been withheld due to pending notification of next-of-kin. My sincere thoughts and condolences are extended to the friends and family of the man during their time of loss and sorrow.
