Accident Between Motorcycle and Semi Causes Major Backup

A motorcycle collision with a big rig on April 27 resulted in a fatality in San Joaquin County along Interstate 5. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a motorcyclist going northbound near State Road 12 and Flag City collided with a big rig going in the same direction at about 3:45 in the afternoon. The motorcycle rider passed away from injuries suffered in the collision.

Man Killed After Central Lodi Pedestrian Accident

A man was killed after a pedestrian accident in central Lodi on the evening of February 2, 2020. The auto-pedestrian accident occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. at West Lodi Avenue and South Crescent Avenue. A driver reportedly crashed into a man who was walking in the area. The motorist stayed at the scene to cooperate with the investigation, according to the Lodi Police Department. When emergency personnel arrived on site, they found the injured man unresponsive and lying in the roadway. Paramedics, firefighters, and police performed life-saving measures. Sadly, their efforts were unsuccessful, and the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office has identified him as 59-year-old Roy Hernandez of Lodi. A GoFundMe page has been established on behalf of Mr. Hernandez’s family to help cover his final resting expenses.

Two Killed in Highway 12 Head-On Collision Near Lodi

Two people were killed in a head-on collision near Lodi on the morning of December 8, 2019. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. along Highway 12, just west of Interstate 5. According to the California Highway Patrol, a red Nissan Altima and a gray Nissan Sentra were involved in a head-on collision along the Delta highway near Guard Road. Sadly, the drivers of both vehicles were pronounced deceased at the scene by medical responders. Officials with the San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office have identified the decedents as Ronald Baoanan Esperanza, a 50-year-old resident of Stockton and Eduardo Ramirez, a 25-year-old resident of Thornton. A GoFundMe page has been set up by the loved ones of Mr. Ramirez to help cover his funeral expenses.

Passenger Killed in Lodi Broadside Collision

A female passenger was killed in a Lodi broadside collision on the evening of July 6, 2019. The incident occurred shortly after 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Locust Tree Road and Kettleman Lane just east of Highway 99. A preliminary report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) implied that a Kia traveling northbound along Locust Tree Road failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection. The Kia later collided with the passenger side of an eastbound Ford. A female who was riding in the front passenger seat suffered serious injuries in the crash. She was transported to a local hospital, where she passed away. Officials have identified the decedent as 50-year-old Rosa Mendoza of Lodi. I would like to send my healing thoughts and prayers to the loved ones of Ms. Mendoza during this difficult time.

Lodi Man Killed in Livermore Truck Accident

A 27-year-old Lodi man was killed in a Livermore truck accident during the early morning hours of May 30, 2019. The truck wreck occurred shortly after 3:00 a.m. at East Jack London Boulevard and Isabel Avenue in Livermore. A driver of a 2015 Kia Optima was involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer. The truck driver was uninjured in the crash. Sadly, the Kia driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name has been withheld by officials until his family has been notified. Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of the decedent during their time of loss.

Stockton Accident Fatally Injures Good Samaritan — Recently, a pedestrian accident in northwest Stockton claimed the life of a Good Samaritan. The collision occurred shortly after 2:00 in the morning along Interstate 5 in the vicinity of Benjamin Holt Drive. A man driving northbound along Interstate 5 witnessed a severe chain reaction accident and pulled over to help those involved. As the man was checking up on everyone, he became a part of the crash scene himself and was struck by an oncoming big rig. Medical personnel responding to the scene transported the man to a hospital for treatment. Sadly, the man was unable to overcome his injuries and passed away during hospitalization. Officials have identified the victim as 38-year-old David Macias of Lodi.

Fatality Reported in Lodi Bicycle Accident

I’m Ed Smith, a Lodi wrongful death lawyer. A cyclist passed away in an area hospital after being hit by a school bus in Lodi on August 17, 2018. The bicycle accident occurred shortly before 2:00 in the afternoon between School Street and Kettleman Lane. A preliminary report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) suggested that a man on a bicycle had reportedly traveled through stopped traffic and was struck in the left turning lane by a school bus. Emergency crews responding to the scene transported the bicyclist to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have not yet identified the victim due to pending notification of family members.
