Fatalities and Injuries Reported in Hornbrook Head-On Collision on Copco Road

A Hornbrook head-on collision on December 29 cost the lives of three people and injured four children with trauma ranging from major to minor. The accident occurred on Copco Road near Salmon Street around 12:24 p.m. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said that it appeared the male driver of a Dodge Ram 1500 was going west along the road when a Chrysler Pacifica driver was coming from the other direction.

Accident on S.R. 97 Occurs When Vehicle Leaves Road

A rollover accident occurred in Yreka on January 14 when a vehicle went off the road. The collision occurred shortly after 3:00 a.m. along State Route 97 and Sheepy Creek Road. Officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) arrived at the collision scene to spot the lights of the vehicle off the roadway and found it along the right-hand side on its roof.
