Fatality Involves Red Ford and Pickup

A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred on February 25 west of Turlock, which blocked the roadway. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said the accident involved a red Ford and a pickup pulling a horse trailer. No additional details were provided. The CHP traffic crash unit is investigating to determine the cause of the crash. The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office will release the deceased’s name when the family has received notification. 

Pedestrian Killed in Accident on Fulkerth Road

A pedestrian crossing the street in Turlock was killed on October 11 when they were struck by a motor vehicle in a hit-and-run. The accident happened along west Fulkerth Road between Countryside Drive and Tully Road during the afternoon hours, according to a spokesman with the Turlock Police Department. The crash occurred near a bus stop. 

Speeding May Have Led to Vincent Road Fatality Accident

A fatal accident occurred near Turlock on March 6 when the driver lost control of his vehicle. The collision occurred along Vincent Road near East Avenue around 12:14 a.m., claiming the life of a Hughson man, age 32. According to the news release by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the driver, in a 2020 Dodge Durango, was speeding when his vehicle went off the edge of the roadway. 

Train Accident at West Olive Avenue Intersection Kills Man on Tracks

A fatal accident occurred in Turlock on October 18 when a train struck a pedestrian. The Turlock Police Department reported that the accident happened around 2:37 a.m. along the tracks east of North First Street and West Olive Avenue when the man was struck by a northbound freight. The train stopped for around 90 minutes as an investigation was conducted by Turlock officers to determine how the fatal accident occurred. Intersections were blocked from West F Street to West Canal as a result.

Fatality Reported in Turlock Head-On Collision

Authorities reported a fatality and two injured parties after a head-on collision in the Turlock area on the night of Tuesday, June 2, 2021. The crash occurred on Highway 99 north of Lander Avenue.

Turlock Resident Killed in Las Palmas Avenue Crash

A Turlock resident was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Las Palmas Avenue outside of Patterson on the early morning of Wednesday, May 19, 2021. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash involved a Buick and occurred near the intersection of Elm Avenue and Las Palmas Avenue.

Pedestrian Accident Fatality in Turlock

The Turlock Police Department (Turlock PD) reported a pedestrian accident fatality on Monte Vista Avenue on the morning of Monday, March 15, 2021. The fatal incident occurred shortly before 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of Dels Lane and Monte Vista Avenue.

Moped Rider Killed After Crash in Turlock

A moped rider was killed after a crash involving a vehicle near the Turlock area on the night of Sunday, September 20, 2020. The incident occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m. on Main Street just west of Washington Road. A preliminary investigation by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) found that an 18-year-old Turlock woman was driving a 2017 Honda sedan eastbound on Main Street and reportedly failed to see a slowed 2008 Fantic Motor Lei moped ahead of her. The Honda allegedly rear-ended the moped and caused its rider to be ejected off from the bike. The moped rider, a 38-year-old Miguel Naranjo of Turlock, was transported by an American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. Sadly, Mr. Naranjo was pronounced deceased during hospitalization.
