Head-on Collision on Jackson Road Causes a Multiple-Vehicle Crash

A multiple-vehicle crash hospitalized three people in an accident that occurred west of Rancho Murieta and involved a school bus on January 20. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the accident occurred around 6:35 a.m. along Jackson Road near Latrobe Road. The collision involved four vehicles, including a school bus. Fortunately, the only person on the school bus at the time was the driver. 

Traffic Accident at Rancho Murieta Airport Reported

A traffic accident in Rancho Murieta at the airport caused one injury on April 18. The collision occurred between a Tesla and another unnamed vehicle around 8:15 a.m. along Murieta Drive at the airport runway. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) requested that the FAA be notified that the accident occurred along the southwest edge of the runway. 

Drunk Driving Suspected in Rollover Near Rancho Murieta

The rollover of a pickup along Excelsior Road near Rancho Murieta on November 30 injured a father and son. They were driving in a Nissan Pathfinder near Jackson Highway at around 1:56 in the afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), when the pickup overturned, which caused major damage to the roof, front end and both sides of the vehicle. Both the driver and his son were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries. 

Major Injury Crash Near Rancho Murieta

A major injury crash occurred near Rancho Murieta during the morning of March 19 along State Route 16 and Ione Road. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident happened along Jackson Road between an unnamed vehicle and a tow truck shortly before 11:00 a.m. The tow truck reportedly overturned and sustained major damage. The other car, as reported by the CHP, had moderate front end damage.

Rancho Murieta Injury Accident on Scott Road

A Rancho Murieta injury accident happened on December 16, involving three vehicles along Scott Road, which required an ambulance to transport one individual to a hospital. One of the cars involved in the collision went off the road but appeared to have experienced a rollover, landing once again on its wheels. Some people stopped to help those who were in the collision. It was reported that there were about 20 people out of their vehicles who were assisting, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) report. Jurisdiction for an investigation into the cause of the accident and to place fault will be conducted by the CHP.
