Police Respond to Incident Involving Child at Vacaville Gas Station

Police respond to incident involving child at Vacaville gas station in Vacaville on Sunday evening, September 6, 2026.

According to a community member’s account shared on social media, an alert indicated that two adults were allegedly seen hitting a child outside the business, an Arco/AMPM gas station. The circumstances described in the post have not been independently confirmed by law enforcement.

Young Boy Seen With Police Officer

The woman who shared the account said she was traveling with her own children when she received a safety alert regarding the reported incident.

When she later entered the gas station, she reportedly saw a young boy, believed to be approximately six or seven years old, standing near a law enforcement officer.

According to the witness, the child’s parents appeared to be seated in separate patrol vehicles. The officer was reportedly seen reassuring the boy before the child was later placed inside a police vehicle.

Police Have Not Confirmed Arrests or Charges

Initial reports did not indicate whether either adult was arrested or whether criminal charges were filed in connection with the incident.

The Vacaville Police Department had not publicly confirmed the allegations described in the social media account at the time of the report.

Because the circumstances remain unclear, allegations that the child was struck should not be treated as established facts unless confirmed through an official investigation.

Community Members Express Concern for Child

The social media account prompted responses from community members expressing concern for the child’s safety and wellbeing.

Some commenters also speculated that the incident could have been related to a separate report involving a child at a nearby Walmart. However, authorities had not confirmed any connection between the two incidents.
