The woman then crashed into two cars in the intersection and overturned. A driver of a Ford Mustang, identified as a man in his 80s, and the woman both suffered serious injuries. They were transported to Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) for treatment. The driver of the third vehicle sustained injuries described as minor. Fresno Police have not yet released updates regarding the conditions of those injured.

Traffic Blocked After Southeast Fresno Car Accident

Traffic was blocked off by local police after a car accident in southeast Fresno on the morning of February 7, 2020. The crash occurred shortly before 5:00 a.m. at Belmont Avenue and Clovis Avenue, according to the Fresno Police Department. A Subaru Impreza wagon and a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck were involved in a collision in the area. The accident prompted the closure of at least one northbound lane of Clovis Avenue and the southbound side of the roadway. It is unknown whether any injuries were reported in connection to the car accident.

Two-Vehicle Crash on Manning Avenue in Foggy Weather

A January 24 head-on accident in Fresno on Manning Avenue resulted in a major injury to one person. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the accident happened west of Chateau Fresno between a Nissan Altima and Honda Civic and that this rural area was foggy at the time. The injured driver apparently attempted to pass a slower vehicle and collided with an oncoming car. The injured person was transported by emergency responders to a nearby hospital for evaluation and further treatment. West Manning Avenue was shut down at South Chateau Avenue while a police investigation was conducted into the cause of the head-on accident.

One Killed After Fresno County Car Accident

One person was killed, and four others were injured in a car accident near Caruthers, CA, in Fresno County on the afternoon of January 24, 2020. The collision occurred at approximately 11:40 a.m. in the area of Elm Avenue and Nebraska Avenue, just west of Highway 41. Both cars overturned in the crash and came to a rest on their roofs. Officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said one of the five parties involved in the accident, 39-year-old Hector Cortes of Fresno, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The others were taken to the hospital for treatment. One of the four injured parties was 29-weeks pregnant at the time of the crash. Sadly, she underwent an emergency cesarean section, and her baby later passed away.

Two drivers were injured in a car accident near Sanger, CA in Fresno County on the morning of January 7, 2020. The collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Indianola Avenue and Jensen Avenue. Two pickup trucks reportedly crashed at the intersection, causing one driver to be pinned inside with serious injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The driver in the other truck suffered injuries described as minor. The cause of the collision is not yet known as an investigation is ongoing by CHP, and an update regarding the conditions of those injured was not immediately available.

DUI Alleged in Fresno County Auto Accident

DUI is suspected to be a factor in a Fresno County car accident that sent ten people to the hospital on the night of December 2, 2019. The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Manning Avenue between Reedley and Parlier near the Riverbend area. Officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said an Acura driver was believed to be under the influence at the time he rear-ended an Audi SUV. The impact of that collision reportedly propelled the Audi into the oncoming traffic lane where it was struck by another car. This caused another accident involving other vehicles and a big rig. Officials said a total of ten people were transported to the hospital, four of those were reported as minors. The drivers of the Audi and the Acura both suffered bone fractures. An update regarding the conditions of those injured has not yet been released by officials.

Man Injured in Central Fresno DUI Crash

A man was injured and hospitalized after a central Fresno DUI crash on November 8, 2019. The car accident occurred shortly before 5:30 in the afternoon at the intersection of Millbrook Avenue and Belmont Avenue. A 53-year-old man was driving a GMC van in the area and reportedly ran a red light to make a left-hand turn, according to the Fresno Police Department. The GMC van then collided with a Honda Civic sedan. The impact of the collision caused the van to crash into a nearby building and overturn on its side. Officials said the driver of the GMC van attempted to flee the scene on foot, but he was later arrested on DUI charges. Sadly, the driver of the Honda was transported to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. An update regarding his condition has not yet been released.
