California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the accident happened in Del Norte County outside of Crescent City and that only one car was involved in the crash. At this time, Del Norte County officials are still withholding the identities of the decedents, and the crash is under CHP investigation.

Fort Goff Crash Results in Deadly Injuries

On Saturday, January 23, 2021, one person passed away after being injured in a Fort Goff crash. Yreka area California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the collision happened late at night and involved only a single pickup truck. County authorities are currently withholding the identity of the decedent, pending his family’s notification. Additionally, police are still investigating this tragic accident.

Pedestrian Suffers Fatal Injuries During Yreka Collision

On Friday, January 22, 2021, a pedestrian was fatally injured during a Yreka collision. Shasta County authorities have not yet reported the name of the decedent but indicated that he was identified as a 70-year-old Yreka resident. No other individuals suffered injuries in the crash, and the incident remains under active investigation at this time.

Driver Loses Life After Yreka Area Auto Accident

On Wednesday, January 20, 2021, one person lost his life during a Yreka area auto accident. Police stated that the incident happened in the very early morning and involved one passenger vehicle. The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office is waiting to release the decedent’s identity until his family has received official notification and the incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Driver Arrested for DUI After Fatal Yreka Accident

On Thursday, January 7, 2021, a Yreka accident led to the tragic death of a vehicle passenger and left one other person with major injuries. The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office has yet to identify the decedent and will reportedly do so after notifying their next-of-kin. California Highway Patrol (CHP) has indicated that one of the drivers involved in the incident has been placed under arrest on charges of driving under the influence.

Woman from Weed Killed During Alleged DUI Crash

On Tuesday, December 1, 2020, a 64-year-old woman from Weed tragically passed away as the result of an alleged DUI collision that occurred in Tehama County. Officials from the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office report that they are currently withholding her identity. In addition to the decedent, two others sustained injuries as a result of the crash. California Highway Patrol (CHP) has reportedly placed one of the involved drivers under arrest on DUI charges.

One Person Killed, One Injured During Yreka Area Accident

On Tuesday, August 25, 2020, one person lost their life during a Yreka area accident. Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office officials are still withholding the decedent’s name, but have identified him as a 47-year-old resident of Weed. In addition to the decedent, one other individual sustained injuries during the crash. Yreka area California Highway Patrol (CHP) has reported that they are actively investigating the crash.

One Dies Following Accident Near Yreka

One person passed away following an accident near Yreka that occurred on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. California Highway Patrol (CHP) released details regarding the incident one week later on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. So far, county officials have not released the identity of the decedent.  An investigation into causal factors of this tragic crash is reportedly being conducted by CHP.

Two Killed in Siskiyou County Trucking Accident

California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a vehicle accident left two people with fatal trauma after a collision that took place on a Siskiyou County Highway on Thursday, June 20, 2019. The accident reportedly involved two vehicles, a Jeep Cherokee and a commercial semi-truck. Siskiyou County officials have identified the fatally injured individuals as 45-year-old Jack E. Ratliff and his 13-year-old son. The accident remains under investigation by officers of CHP. My thoughts and sympathy are with Mr. Ratliff and his son’s family as they are grieving during this difficult time.

Man Killed in Yreka Car Accident

Officers from Yreka area California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported a serious local car accident on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. The collision reportedly occurred in a rural area outside of Yreka and left a Siskiyou County man with severe injuries that eventually cost him his life. The man was identified as a 69-year-old resident of the community of Etna. However, authorities are waiting to release his full identity until they have completed notifying his family. CHP says that the collision involved only one vehicle and that officers are still investigating possible causes. I’d like to extend condolences to the grieving loved ones who’ve tragically lost a family member and friend because of this accident.
