Collision Reported on State Route 44 Between Semi and Motorcyclists

A major injury was reported at Old Station east of Redding on June 26 in a collision involving two motorcycles and a tractor-trailer. The crash happened just south of Old Station along State Route 44 at about 4:10 p.m. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) report said that the individual who called in the accident was in the big rig. 

Escaped Bull Captured After Injuring Six People at Redding Rodeo

An escaped bull from a Redding rodeo ran and bucked through the VIP section on May 20th, causing minor injuries to six spectators. The accident occurred on the Redding Rodeo Grounds on Auditorium Drive during the final part of the bull riding event. The bull, pursued by two men on horseback, jumped over a fence into the crowd and went through a parking lot before it was finally captured about half a mile from the event location. 

Accident on SR 273 Causes Major Injury to Pedestrian

A major pedestrian accident occurred on January 3 along the highway at Cascade between Anderson and Redding, which included a two-vehicle crash. The collision occurred along State Route 273 at Latona Road around 6:00 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) accident report. The accident was reported by the individual who struck the pedestrian, who said that he was running across the street when the incident occurred. 

Fatally Injured Woman Found in Redding Alley

The police in Redding, California, are looking into the death of a woman who suffered injuries that appear to be consistent with having been struck by a motor vehicle. Authorities believe she may have been struck and killed on the morning of Friday, October 29, 2021, by a city garbage truck. Initial investigation revealed she may have been lying in a Redding alley when she was struck.
