Woman Killed in Lake Oroville Auto Accident On Stringtown Dock

Officials of Butte County are currently withholding the identity of the decedent and investigation into causal factors is ongoing.

Yuba County Crash Kills Two

California Highway Patrol (CHP) has reported that two people passed away during a Yuba County crash that took place on Friday, February 28, 2020. According to county officials, the decedents included a 39-year-old woman from Oroville as well as a 22-year-old woman from Forbestown. The full identities of the decedents have not yet been reported. According to police, the crash only involved one car, and no other people suffered trauma as a result of the crash.

Vehicle Fatally Strikes Pedestrian Near Oroville

On Thursday, November 7, 2019, an auto accident involving a pedestrian near Oroville caused fatal injuries. According to local authorities, one man lost his life during an auto accident that took place in Oroville on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. The man was identified the following day as Dwayne Tamayo, an employee of Butte College who had been working there for over six years. Authorities indicated that the car wreck only involved a single vehicle and took place at night. Four-Vehicle Accident Kills Two Near Oroville

California Highway Patrol (CHP) has confirmed that two people lost their lives during a multiple vehicle accident that took place between Oroville and Chico on Friday, June 21, 2019. The accident reportedly involved four vehicles including a dump truck, a semi-truck, a white minivan, and a Chevy sedan. According to reports from police, the accident also left four more individuals with major injuries. Butte County officials have not yet identified the decedents and updates about the medical conditions of the severely injured individuals have not been provided. Pedestrian Identified Following Fatal Oroville Crash

On Tuesday, February 5, 2019, Butte County officials released the identity of a man who lost his life after he was involved in a car accident south of Oroville. The man was identified as Joshua Washburn, a 46-year-old resident of the nearby community of Gridley. The accident took place on Saturday, February 2, 2019. Washburn had been a pedestrian walking across the highway at a location near the border of Sutter and Butte Counties. California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that they have investigators looking into this accident to determine the factors which may have caused the collision. My sympathy is with Mr. Washburn’s loved ones after this tragic incident.

Oroville Highway Crash Kills Two

Police from Oroville area California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a fatal accident happened on a local highway on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. Police say that the crash happened south of Oroville and left at least two individuals with injuries that cost them their lives. The identities of the fatally injured persons have not been reported by officials. CHP says that their investigators are still looking into possible causes of this accident. Oroville area California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that a major area car accident happened on Saturday, January 26, 2019. The auto accident happened during the night and involved only one vehicle. The collision left one person with major injuries and another with a trauma that cost him his life. The identity of the fatally injured vehicle passenger has not been reported by county officials. CHP says that they have a team of investigators looking into what may have caused this accident.
