The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported a hit and run accident involving a motorcycle rider in the Modesto area on the morning of Monday, May 24, 2021. The traffic collision occurred shortly after 5:30 a.m. on State Route 33 in the vicinity of Lemon Avenue.

Injuries Reported in Hatch Road Crash

Injuries were reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Modesto area office after a crash on Hatch Road and Crows Landing Road on Friday, May 21, 2021. The traffic collision occurred shortly after 12:50 p.m. and involved a gray Toyota sedan and a white Toyota sedan.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported major injuries after a pedestrian accident in the Modesto area on the afternoon of Monday, May 17, 2021. The incident occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. at 1329 Crows Landing Road.

Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing His Bike on Bonds Flat Road

A fatal motorcycle crash happened in La Grange on March 13 when the rider’s bike struck a guardrail. The collision happened around 5:00 in the afternoon, along eastbound Bonds Flat Road close to the Blue Oak Recreation Area. The motorcycle rider, recently identified by officials as 40-year-old Martin Flores of Modesto, apparently lost control of his bike, which went off onto the shoulder and hit the guardrail. 

Modesto Couple Injured by Speeding Car

A couple from Modesto was recently injured after being hit by a car that was speeding in their neighborhood. The car accident occurred along Blue Gum Avenue in west Modesto. A man and his girlfriend were sitting inside their parked truck in front of their house when they were struck head-on by a speeding vehicle. The father of the injured man said the couple was lucky to be alive and only suffered minor injuries in the crash. Additional details regarding the incident were not immediately available.

Driver of Truck Sought in Modesto Fatal Hit and Run

A driver of a pickup truck is being sought by Modesto officials after crashing into a man and killing him in a fatal hit and run on the night of Tuesday, September 1, 2020. The pedestrian accident occurred around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of L Street and Eighth Street. The Modesto Police Department (Modesto PD) reported that the man was attempting to walk across the intersection when he was struck by a 1994-2004 GMC or Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck whose driver reportedly fled the scene afterward. Sadly, the pedestrian, 42-year-old Patrick McHaley of Modesto, passed away at the site of the hit and run accident.

Children Injured After Car Crash in Modesto

Two children were injured and transported to the hospital after a chain-reaction car crash on Highway 99 in Modesto, CA, on the early morning of Sunday, August 30, 2020. The series of motor vehicle accidents occurred around 2:05 a.m. on southbound State Route 99 just north of the Standiford Avenue and Beckwith Road interchange. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the first collision occurred when a 2005 GMC SUV veered to the left and crashed into a center divider. The driver of the GMC reportedly fled the scene on foot and left the vehicle behind, partially blocking the fast lane of the highway.
