Modesto Serious Motorcycle Crash

A Modesto serious motorcycle crash occurred on the afternoon of January 8 along Briggsmore Avenue in the vicinity of Lakewood Avenue. A 32-year-old Modesto man was riding his Yamaha motorcycle west along Briggsmore Avenue when he reportedly lost control of his bike and crashed at approximately 1:00 in the afternoon. The man was separated from the Yamaha in the accident. The impact of the collision also caused the gas tank of the motorcycle to rupture and catch fire. Crews from the Modesto Fire Department were called to the scene to extinguish the flames from the burning bike. Medical personnel transported the injured rider to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries, including extensive road rash. Officials have not yet released an update regarding his condition.

Modesto Major Pedestrian Collision

A Modesto major pedestrian collision occurred on the afternoon of January 7 along Yosemite Boulevard near Conejo Avenue. A driver of a Chrysler PT Cruiser was traveling westbound along Yosemite Avenue when the vehicle collided with a pedestrian. The Chrysler driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officials. The walker suffered serious injuries, including bone fractures, but is expected to survive, according to authorities.

Modesto Major Pedestrian Accident

A Modesto major pedestrian accident occurred along Wade Avenue and Rouse Avenue on December 31, 2018. The incident happened at approximately 6:00 in the evening and involved a pickup truck and a pedestrian. A driver of a white pickup truck reportedly crashed into a man walking in the area and fled the scene following the collision. Medical personnel was called to the scene to transport the injured party to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. An update regarding the man’s condition has not yet been released by officials.

The incident happened shortly before 9:45 p.m. along River Road in the vicinity of Bystrum Road in south Modesto. A 68-year-old man was walking north across the road when he was struck by an eastbound car whose driver fled the scene following the collision. The walker was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Officials have not yet released an update regarding their condition.

Two Injured in Stanislaus County Truck Accident

I’m Ed Smith, a Modesto personal injury lawyer. A truck accident east of Newman left a mother and her 4-year-old daughter with severe injuries on August 16, 2018. At approximately 1:30 in the afternoon, a 32-year-old Newman woman was driving her Saturn southbound along River Road in the vicinity of Hills Ferry Road. The woman stopped her Saturn at a stop sign and attempted to turn left at the intersection when her vehicle was broadsided by an oncoming big rig. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the large truck was traveling approximately 40 to 50 mph moments before striking the side of the Saturn. Emergency personnel at the scene transported the Saturn driver via air ambulance to the Memorial Medical Center for treatment of possible hip and leg fractures. The daughter of the Saturn driver was taken by medical helicopter to the Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera to be treated for head trauma. Officials have not yet released an update regarding the conditions of both victims.
