Seeking Financial Recovery in a Single-Vehicle Accident Case

Solo car wrecks are often presumed to occur due to motorist errors. However, there are situations where a single-vehicle accident may happen outside of a driver’s control. For instance, faulty vehicle equipment, roadway defects, or a phantom vehicle (an unknown driver that causes a motorist to lose control but does not make contact with the car) may cause a solo car crash. Remember that in either of these scenarios, there must be clear and compelling evidence demonstrating that the incident occurred for that reason and not from another cause.

In the case of faulty car parts and equipment, the vehicle in question must be preserved and kept in its original condition following the crash. A skilled attorney and their team of experts can review the car for defects and bring an auto products liability claim forward. Conversely, claims against the government for roadway defects are often challenging to navigate. The two-year statute of limitations for personal injury and wrongful death cases is shortened to six months. For phantom vehicle accidents, evidence like eyewitness accounts and video surveillance footage may help prove that a phantom driver was involved.

Establishing negligence on the other side’s part may be challenging. Therefore, it is essential to retain legal counsel immediately after an incident has claimed a family member’s life. Key evidence may be covered up, lost, or altered as time goes on. Your California wrongful death attorney will want to start an independent investigation right away to ensure that does not occur. Our legal team at AutoAccident.com has decades of experience handling fatal crash cases, and we can help your family with yours too. Personal Injury Lawyer in Modesto

Getting injured or suddenly losing a family member in a crash may be devastating for all parties involved. It may be more challenging to deal with knowing that accident-related injuries or a loved one’s demise were the results of another party acting negligently. Those in such situations may find comfort in knowing that they can hold the at-fault party liable in a claim for damages. Injured parties and survivors should contact an attorney immediately since California has a two-year statute of limitations on personal injury and wrongful death claims. In other words, there is a limited amount of time to bring a case forward.
