Chico Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident

Authorities reported that a 27-year-old man from Chico lost his life after he was involved in an auto accident while riding his motorcycle on Monday, June 3, 2019. The accident involved two vehicles including the man’s motorcycle and a large Dodge pickup truck. According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash remains under investigation. Authorities of Butte County have not yet released the decedent’s full identity pending the notification of his family. Additionally, no further injuries were reported to have been caused by the collision. I would like to express my sympathy to the loved ones of the fatally injured motorcyclist who are currently mourning such a tragic loss.

Fatal Chico Train Accident

Police say that one man lost his life in a train accident that took place in Chico on Saturday, May 18, 2019. The collision took place in the early morning on the western side of the city. According to officials from the Chico Police Department (CPD), the fatally injured man had been walking on the train tracks when he was struck. The fatally injured woman was identified by officials of Sweetwater County as Shelly Dale Leon, a 50-year-old woman from Chico. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the fatally injured child. In addition to the two fatally injured people, four others suffered injuries ranging from minor to major in severity. Fatal Orland Hit-and-Run Update

On Tuesday, January 22, 2019, Officers from California Highway Patrol (CHP) released more information about a fatal car accident that recently happened near Orland. The crash took place on Thursday, January 17, 2019, and took the life of a pedestrian. The pedestrian was trying to help people who had been involved in a different accident when the fatal crash happened. The driver who struck the pedestrian drove away from the crash. CHP identified the fatally injured man over the weekend. He was identified as Humbert Falcon, a 47-year-old resident of Glenn County.
