Enjoy the Outdoors at Benicia State Recreation Area

The Benicia State Recreation Area resides along the narrowest part of the Carquinez Strait.  It features grassy hillsides, marshlands, and rocky beaches.  Outdoor enthusiasts of all sorts enjoy the two and a half miles of bike paths and paved roads – perfect for walkers, runners, cyclists, and roller skaters.  Other attractions include fishing and bird watching, especially in the marsh along Dillion’s Point.  Botanical gardens are in full bloom at certain times of the year.  Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed.

Benicia August 2019 Community Events

Benicia is a gorgeous waterside city in Solano County, California. Benicia is part of the San Francisco Bay Area, located in the North Bay region. There are many things that most people don’t know about the city of Benicia. For example, did you know that Benicia was actually the state capital for approximately 13 months from 1853 – 1854? There is much more to learn about the history, culture, and society that stands behind Benicia. One of the best ways to learn about a city is to go out and experience the atmosphere for yourself. I have made things easy by including a small list of upcoming local community events.

Community Events in Great Benicia

Benicia is a small, historic city on the edge of the northern San Francisco Bay Area with a close-knit community and a unique bayside character. Though residents can easily escape to major cities for entertainment, there are plenty of great in-town events run by Benicia organizations. Some fun and upcoming community events are detailed below.

Benicia Air Quality Concerns

I’m Ed Smith, a Benicia personal injury lawyer. Due to wildfires that continue to spread across multiple counties in the North Bay- including Solano, Napa, Marin, and Sonoma- heavy smoke has poured into both Benicia and Vallejo. These pollutants have caused breathing problems for at-risk individuals as well as prompted schools to shut down due to public safety concerns.

Benicia Community Events

I’m Ed Smith, a Benicia personal injury lawyer. Residents of Benicia have the good fortune of living in a vibrant city on the Carquinez Strait that is only a short distance away from the major metropolitan area of San Francisco. However, those living in Benicia don’t need to brave the traffic and bridge tolls in order to find fun, engaging events. Benicia community events will be going on all month. Hope to see you in and around beautiful Benicia!
