Stockton Motorcycle Accident Involving Traffic Pole

A major road was shut down on the night of March 10 due to a Stockton motorcycle accident involving a traffic pole. The incident occurred along March Lane in the vicinity of Precissi Lane shortly after 10:00 p.m. Officers responding to the scene found a damaged traffic light pole, motorcycle, and vehicle. The area was closed as officials investigated the scene and crews cleaned up. The motorcycle rider and driver of the car were both taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. An update regarding their conditions was not immediately available.

Rollover Accident Injures Four Near Stockton

A single-vehicle accident left a family of four seriously injured on the night of February 23, 2019. The incident occurred along the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the Roth Road interchange, just south of Stockton. The four family members were driving home from a ski trip when the motorist reportedly fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of their Honda. The vehicle veered off the roadway and overturned, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The four occupants in the Honda were taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified, serious injuries. An update on their conditions has not yet been released by officials.

Stockton DUI Accident Injures Three

A DUI accident in Stockton left three parties injured on the afternoon of February 15, 2019. The incident occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m. near Pacific Street and Madison Street. A 27-year-old woman was driving her vehicle near the intersection when her car collided head-on with a stopped San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) bus. Police responding to the scene arrested the woman on traffic charges and driving under the influence. Moreover, three parties inside the RTD bus were transported to local hospitals for treatment of unspecified injuries. Authorities have not yet released an update regarding the conditions of those injured in the DUI crash.

Morada Head-On Crash Fatality

A Morada head-on crash fatality occurred on the afternoon of February 10 along East Highway 99 Frontage Road in the vicinity of Morada Lane. A driver of an older model Honda Accord was traveling northbound along the highway when they approached a right curve in the road. The driver reportedly entered the oncoming traffic lane and collided head-on with a southbound Subaru Forester. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), both vehicles were traveling at an estimated speed of 35 to 40 miles per hour at the time of the collision. Two adults and a child riding in the Subaru were uninjured in the auto accident. Three of the four occupants in the Honda, including the motorist, suffered injuries described as minor to severe. They were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Sadly, the other passenger of the Honda passed away at the scene. Officials have identified the decedent as 67-year-old Yean Im of Stockton. We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Im during this difficult time.

Hit and Run Crash Injures Stockton Man

A hit and run in Stockton left a pedestrian with serious injuries on February 8, 2019. The incident occurred around 7:30 in the evening at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and West Alpine Avenue. A 27-year-old man was walking in a marked crosswalk located at the intersection when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the car reportedly left the man in the road and drove away from the scene following the pedestrian accident. Unfortunately, the pedestrian suffered injuries described as significant but non-life-threatening in the crash.
