A motorcycle accident that involved crashing with an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) occurred near Rancho Murieta on May 20, resulting in a major injury. The crash happened along Michigan Bar Road south of Labrobe Road around 10:49 p.m. in the roadway. One person, identified only as a 28-year-old male, was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center for care, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP)

Fatalities Reported in Solo-Vehicle Crash on Irish Hill Road

A solo-vehicle crash in Amador County on March 2 caused three fatalities after the driver struck a tree near Rancho Murieta. The accident happened during the afternoon hours at the Irish Hill Road intersection with Carbondale, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). An adult male and two minors died in the collision. It is unknown at this time why the driver lost control of their vehicle. An investigation is being conducted by the CHP to determine how the solo-vehicle crash happened.

Golf Cart Collision Reported on Guadalupe Drive

A golf cart collision resulted in at least one person being transported to a hospital in Rancho Murieta on February 9. The collision involved two golf carts that collided around 2:32 p.m. at the intersection of Guadalupe Drive at Murieta Parkway and was reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Sacramento Fire Department emergency responders were called to the scene, where it was determined that injuries had occurred. 

Motorcycle Accident on Meiss Road Causes Injuries

A motorcycle injury accident occurred on October 20 south of Rancho Murieta. The injury was reported around 8:18 a.m. along Meiss Road, according to the accident report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The rider reportedly fell off his motorcycle after hitting a speed bump.

Motor Vehicle and Motorcyclist Collide at Jackson Road Intersection

A motorcycle accident occurred in Rancho Murieta on December 17 that caused injuries to the rider. The collision was reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) as happening around 3:36 p.m. at the intersection of Jackson Road and Murieta South Parkway. The motorcyclist was discovered down on the right-hand side when authorities arrived at the scene, and medics with Sac Metro Fire were called to assess the rider’s injuries. 

State Route 16 Accident Involved SUV and Motorcycle Rider

A motorcycle crash resulted in a major injury when it collided with a Prius SUV near Rancho Murieta on June 13. The accident occurred along State Route 16 and Ione Road around 2:22 in the afternoon, leaving the roadway blocked. Multiple vehicles pulled over on the right-hand side, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) incident report. 

Jackson Road and Marietta Parkway Site of Head-On Collision

A head-on collision occurred in Rancho Murieta on June 8 between a dark-colored Silverado pickup hauling a fifth wheel and a black Volkswagen sedan. The accident was reported as occurring at about 1:42 p.m. on eastbound Jackson Road and Marietta Parkway. The 25-foot super-duty fifth wheel was reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) as blocking the roadway. A Sigalert was issued due to the traffic backup on both eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 16. One individual was evaluated and treated at the accident site for what were described as minor injuries. The CHP is in charge of the investigation, which is ongoing. There is no report that alcohol or drugs were involved in the head-on collision.

Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident in Rancho Murieta

A motorcycle accident occurred on October 20, just north of Rancho Murieta sent the rider to the hospital with major injuries. The accident was reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) as happening along Scott Road, where it intersects with Latrobe Road at around 7:39 in the evening. Emergency responders from the Sacramento Fire Department arrived at the scene to assess the injured rider, who was then taken to Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center for additional evaluation and treatment. The accident is under investigation by the CHP to determine how it occurred. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.
