The motorcycle accident in Modesto occurred on Scenic Drive and Rose Avenue shortly before 6:25 p.m. A spokeswoman for the Modesto Police Department (Modesto PD) said the incident involved a driver of a Honda Civic and a motorcycle rider.

Ceres Motorcyclist Killed in Fatal Crash

A motorcyclist from Ceres was killed in a fatal crash at Lombardo Avenue and Ninth Street in Modesto on the night of October 31, 2020. The motorcycle accident on Halloween occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. and involved a 1995 Harley-Davidson and a 2007 Chevrolet. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a 51-year-old man from Ceres was riding the Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on Ninth Street. At the same time, a 56-year-old Modesto man was driving the Chevrolet southbound on Ninth Street. The Chevrolet driver reportedly made a left-hand turn in front of the motorcycle, and the biker crashed into the right rear of the car. The motorcyclist was transported to Doctors Medical Center for immediate treatment. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries during hospitalization. The motorcycle collision remains under investigation by the CHP traffic division, and further details on the incident, including the name of the deceased biker, were not immediately available.

Biker Killed in Stanislaus County Motorcycle Crash

A biker was killed after a fatal motorcycle crash near Hughson in Stanislaus County on the evening of Saturday, October 24, 2020. The deadly incident occurred at Baldwin Road and Whitmore Avenue at approximately 6:25 p.m. Edwin Medina-Corona, a 21-year-old man from Hickman, was riding his 2020 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Whitmore, approaching the intersection with Baldwin Road. A 67-year-old Turlock resident was driving a 2000 Toyota eastbound on Whitmore Avenue and reportedly failed to yield the right of way to Mr. Medina-Corona as he made a left-hand turn onto Baldwin Road, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said. The Kawasaki crashed into the right rear of the Toyota, causing Mr. Medina-Corona to be ejected off the bike and strike the road. Sadly, he suffered fatal injuries at the scene.

The accident occurred east of Modesto where the Hilmar man was riding his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound along Albers Road in the vicinity of Dusty Lane at approximately 6:10 p.m. For unknown reasons, the Hilmar man reportedly allowed his motorcycle to veer over the double yellow lines and enter the northbound lane in the path of a 2017 Chevrolet. The front of the motorcycle struck the left side of the Chevrolet, causing the rider to be ejected off the bike. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
