Who is At Fault in a Crash?

Who is At Fault in a Crash?

I’m Ed Smith, a Eureka car accident lawyer. The effects of a car accident can be very serious and often heavily impact peoples’ lives. Some traffic accidents are not caused by reckless drivers and happen due to things like faulty auto parts or hazardous roadways. However, the majority of accidents are caused by driver negligence and determining who was at fault in a car accident isn’t always easy. It is important to understand how fault is determined and how it affects compensation for losses related to an accident, especially if you live in a state with comparative fault laws such as California.

Pedestrian Accidents in Eureka

Pedestrian Accidents in Eureka

I’m Ed Smith, a Eureka car accident lawyer. Auto accidents are dangerous and commonly cause injuries that change people’s lives. Crashes involving pedestrians are especially dangerous. This is partly because pedestrians lack the protection that cars give vehicle occupants. Even low-speed accidents can leave pedestrians with trauma such as leg fractures, traumatic brain injuries, hip bone issues, and more. The city of Eureka has been the site of numerous severe and fatal pedestrian accidents in recent years. However, these incidents do show certain trends. Those who often walk near city roadways can reduce their chances of being involved in a crash by knowing how, where, and when these collisions normally happen.
