Reports issued by area California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that a man from Auburn was trapped inside his vehicle for hours following a car accident that took place near Grass Valley on Thursday, January 3, 2018. The man has only been identified as a 46-year-old Auburn resident, and responders say that he suffered serious trauma during the accident. According to officials, the crash involved only one vehicle, and no other individuals were in the car at the time of the collision.
