Providing Compensation for Traffic Accident Fatalities and Injuries

In case you have been injured in a traffic accident or have lost a loved one, you may be entitled to compensation. Personal injury cases begin with determining who is legally responsible for your accident and whether their negligence caused your injuries or the death of a loved one. Sometimes, a third party may be required to pay you such as another driver or a product manufacturer.

In addition, government neglect or poor roadway design can lead to serious accidents. If it is determined roadway neglect contributed to or caused the traffic accident, a claim can be lodged against the government entity in charge. Since the time limit to file is only six months, getting assistance from an injury lawyer may be a good idea.

Traffic Accident Claims

To receive compensation, you must file a claim against the responsible party and handle it through their insurer. Your lawyer can gather witness testimony, police reports and accident scene photos to support your personal injury claim. You may need to provide proof of lost wages and medical records.

Wrongful death claims follow similar procedures. To receive compensation, the family must provide evidence of lost wages and future earnings, pain and suffering, funeral and burial expenses, etc.
