Folsom Boulevard Accident Injures at Least One Person

A two-vehicle crash in Antelope on November 2 caused at least one person to be taken to the hospital. The accident happened along Folsom Boulevard and La Quinta Drive around 4:31 in the afternoon, according to the report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Following the collision, which occurred between a Honda Civic and an Acura, one vehicle ended up blocking the roadway, and the other was thrown into a ditch. One of the cars also struck a tree.

Antelope Road Accident Results in a Head-On Collision

A head-on collision occurred in Antelope on October 5 that resulted in injuries to at least one person. The accident was reported around 5:48 in the afternoon along eastbound Antelope Road at Monument Drive between a PT Cruiser and Kia Sorrento. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the individual who reported the accident said that the Kia was passing another vehicle unsafely when it crashed head-on into the PT Cruiser. 

Injuries Reported in Watt Avenue and Blackfoot Way Accident

An intersection accident in Antelope caused injuries when one vehicle was T-boned by another recently. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported the accident as happening at Watt Avenue where it intersects with Blackfoot Way at around 11:42 in the morning when a Chevy Silverado pickup collided with a Kia Rondo. The airbags in the pickup deployed as a result of the crash. Emergency responders with the Sacramento Fire Department were called to the scene to assess injuries; however, no specific details were given. The CHP is investigating the crash to determine liability and how it happened.

A two-vehicle accident in Antelope resulted in a major injury on March 5 in the afternoon hours. The accident happened around 3:32 in the afternoon at the intersection of North Loop Boulevard and Falcon View Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) traffic report. One of the vehicles, a Honda, crashed into a pole as a result of the collision. Both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles by responders with the Sacramento Fire Department. Both of the vehicles were towed from the accident scene. It was not reported whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the collision.

Vehicular Accident at Intersection in Antelope

A vehicular accident in Antelope occurred on September 16 between a silver SUV and a Toyota Prius. The collision happened at the intersection of Elverta Road and Driver Way not far from The House of Chicken and Ribs. After the initial collision, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) that were at the scene of the accident said the Toyota Prius hit a pole, which remained upright. Responders said the airbags in the Prius deployed after impact. When police arrived, there were 10 young people standing near the pole, and it has not yet been confirmed if they were in any of the vehicles. Debris was scattered on the roadway, and cleanup crews were called to the scene. The second and third lanes were blocked for a short time due to the accident, and tow trucks arrived to remove at least one of the vehicles. Injuries were reported by authorities who were at the accident site. There is no word at this time whether the individuals involved in the vehicular accident were transported to the hospital. 

Fleeing Driver Injures Pedestrian in Antelope

A fleeing driver left a 25-year-old woman facing multiple surgeries after a hit and run crash in Antelope. Terrilynn Collins was walking around town with her boyfriend looking at the firework displays when tragedy struck shortly before 2:00 a.m. on July 5. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), she was struck by the hit and run driver as the couple was walking on the sidewalk on Palmerson Drive in Antelope. The driver also knocked down multiple poles. It was reported that the fleeing driver exited their SUV and briefly looked to see if their car was damaged before driving away. 

Antelope Intersection Accident

An Antelope intersection accident occurred on March 5 at the crossroads of Monument Drive and Antelope Road. The collision was between a Cadillac Escalade and another unidentified sedan at about 7:42 in the morning. Emergency responders with the Sacramento Fire Department arrived to assess injuries, and one individual was reported as being transported to Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center for further assessment and treatment. The cause of the Antelope intersection accident was not reported, and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) is in charge of an investigation into the collision.

Antelope Fleeing Driver Kills Emergency Med Tech

An Antelope fleeing driver is being sought by North Sacramento police after leaving the scene of a fatal accident. Yuriy Oleynik, an EMT, age 27, died after the crash along Walerga Road close to Big Cloud Way on January 27. Oleynik was riding his motorcycle when the SUV, described as traveling recklessly, crashed into him. He was ejected from the bike and struck a fence. Reports are that it might have been a case of road rage. Investigators with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) are checking on these allegations. My sympathy and prayers are with the family and friends of their deceased loved one in their time of sorrow and loss.

Antelope Intersection Crash Under Investigation

An Antelope intersection crash that caused an injury happened on January 23 at Antelope and Walerga roads. The report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said that the accident happened at about 9:20 in the evening between a Toyota Tundra and a small compact car. Both westbound Antelope and northbound Walerga were completely blocked by the crash. Flatbeds were needed to remove the damaged vehicles. An ambulance was called to the accident scene for at least one individual. The CHP will be investigating the intersection accident to determine the cause and place fault. At this time, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol was a factor in the collision.
