Semi-Truck Overturns, Blocking Highway
The crash occurred at approximately 11:07 a.m. near mile marker 10.70 on Highway 199.
According to the CHP, the semi-truck and its attached trailer overturned, spilling lumber across the roadway and blocking the highway. Emergency crews responded to secure the scene and begin cleanup operations.
Highway Closed for Several Hours
Due to the overturned truck and scattered debris, Highway 199 was closed for several hours while crews worked to remove the vehicle and clear the lumber from the roadway.
Officials initially estimated the closure would remain in effect until approximately 4:00 p.m. The highway fully reopened at 4:40 p.m. after cleanup operations were completed.
Authorities have not reported whether anyone was injured in the crash.
