Two Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Stockton
Two people were killed in a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a sport utility vehicle (SUV) in Stockton on the afternoon of Sunday, November 8, 2020. The motorcycle accident occurred on West March Lane between Pacific and Claremont avenues at approximately 2:45 p.m. The incident involved a 2002 Toyota Sequoia SUV and a motorcycle. According to the Stockton Police Department (Stockton PD), a man was riding a motorcycle westbound on March Lane when the eastbound Toyota made a turn in the path of the motorcyclist into the parking lot of Weberstown Mall.
The Toyota driver, a 69-year-old woman, and a minor passenger, a 6-year-old child, suffered unspecified injuries described as minor in the collision. The man riding the motorcycle and a juvenile passenger were both taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries, Stockton PD reported. Sadly, both parties succumbed to their injuries during hospitalization. The San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office has identified the motorcyclist as Luis Oliva-Mendez, 29, of Stockton and the minor as an 11-year-old girl from Stockton.
