On Tuesday, April 28, 2020, a rural Napa motorcycle crash left one person with serious trauma. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the crash happened during the afternoon and involved only a single vehicle. The injured motorcyclist has been identified as a 58-year-old man from the nearby city of Fairfield. Updates on his condition have not yet been released by medical officials.
Napa Conducts Motorcycle Safety Operation – Officers of the Napa Police Department (NPD) reported on Thursday, September 13, 2018, that local authorities would be conducting a motorcycle safety operation over the weekend. The operation was reportedly meant to combat a recent streak of drunk and/or drugged motorists affecting the city. NPD stated that the process was scheduled to begin during the night of Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. the following day and that the department would place special patrols at key locations within the city. The same operation was also conducted during the night of Sunday, September 16, 2018.
