The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be partnering with the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) on a campaign that has the goal of reducing the number of impaired driving crashes. The safety campaign is entitled the Impaired Driving Reduction (IDR) enforcement and education campaign. It started on the 1st of October and will run through the end of September 2022.

Garberville Area Crash Causes Serious Trauma

On Wednesday, November 4, 2020, one person suffered major trauma during a Garberville area crash. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the accident happened on a rural roadway and only involved one vehicle. Medical officials have not yet reported whether or not the individual’s injuries were life-threatening. However, CHP did call a helicopter ambulance to the crash site. Gualala Resident Injured During Dramatic Crash

On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, a man from Gualala suffered injuries requiring hospital care after a dramatic crash that took place in Mendocino County. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the man was partially saved due to the quick actions taken by a 16-year-old driver from the community of Timber Cove. Fort Bragg Pedestrian Hospitalized. Reports from local authorities say that one man was left with major injuries after a recent pedestrian accident that took place in Fort Bragg. California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the crash happened late at night and that the pedestrian needed to be taken to a nearby hospital via medical helicopter for emergency treatment. The injured pedestrian has since been identified as a 59-year-old Fort Bragg man. Updates on the man’s condition have not yet been released by officials.

Fort Bragg Rollover Accident Results in Serious Injury
