Accident Near Greenback Lane Off-Ramp Occurs Between Two Vehicles

A complaint of pain sent one person to the hospital recently following a two-vehicle accident in Foothill Farms. The accident happened around 3:34 p.m. along eastbound I-80 at the Greenback Lane off-ramp. The traffic accident report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that the crash involved a Nissan Pathfinder SUV and a diesel pickup truck that carried a woman and child. 

Accident on Westbound Greenback Lane Entrance Ramp 

An entrance ramp accident involving two vehicles in Foothill Farms on March 1 caused injuries to one person. The accident happened along the entrance ramp of westbound Greenback Lane heading toward I-80 west at about 5:26 p.m., according to a police report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Both vehicles were blocking traffic. Emergency responders with the Sacramento Fire Department arrived, where they discovered one person complaining of pain to their chest. That individual asked to be taken to a hospital and was transported for further evaluation and treatment of their injuries. An investigation of the accident is being conducted by the CHP to discover who was at fault. There is no indication as of the time of this report if drugs or alcohol were involved. 

I-80 and Greenback Lane Accident Results in Injuries

A multiple-vehicle crash occurred along Interstate 80 and Greenback Lane at Foothill Farms on March 1 that caused an injury to at least one person. The accident was reported as involving four vehicles, including two SUVs and a Toyota Prius, at about 12:34 in the afternoon. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said that a witness to the accident reported that the Toyota turned around on the freeway. That person said they were struck head-on by the wrong-way driver. A SigAlert was issued for at least one hour advising that the three left lanes were closed due to a traffic collision. The two right lanes were open, but motorists should expect delays. Another driver in the area at the time called the CHP to say that multiple vehicles were driving on the right-hand side of the road to get past the multiple-vehicle crash. The CHP is in charge of investigating the accident to determine what happened and to assign fault.

Foothill Farms Accident Results in Major Injury

An accident in Foothill Farms on Roseville Road on January 1, 2020, was due to a vehicle spinning out of control and ending up in a resident’s backyard. The incident happened about 100 yards from Tacomic Drive at approximately 2:05 in the afternoon. A Lexus ES500 hit a residential fence, struck the back wall of the house, and passed into the backyard. According to reports by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the vehicle remained running and caught on fire. Witnesses said the homeowner was outside trying to put out the fire. A major injury in the accident was reported by the authorities, and the person was transported to a local hospital. There has been no update at this time as to the injured party’s condition. The CHP has not said if drugs or alcohol were involved. There was no problem with traffic flow due to the accident. 

Driver Suffered Major Injuries in Foothill Farms Accident

A car accident on Roseville Road and Diablo Drive left a driver with major injuries on November 21. The accident happened at 6:45 in the morning when the vehicle was trying to pass on the right-hand side. Witnesses said that the lanes were not blocked. The passing vehicle struck an electric pole. There is no word at this time about the nature of the driver’s injuries or why the car accident happened. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is in the process of investigating the crash to understand why it occurred. 

Foothill Farms Multi-vehicle Accident 

A Foothill Farms multi-vehicle accident occurred at a local intersection on March 20. It involved three vehicles and a hit-and-run. The collision happened at Palm Avenue and Walnut Avenue at about 2:38 in the afternoon and included a red Mitsubishi, silver Nissan Sentra, and another unnamed vehicle. According to a report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), two of the cars collided in the intersection, which in turn caused one of those cars to strike a parked vehicle.
