Motorcyclist Collides With Tractor-Trailer on Lake Herman Road

A motorcyclist fatality following a head-on crash with a tractor-trailer occurred on October 8, following two other Solano County deaths on October 5. The motorcyclist who died in the collision was identified by the Solano County Coroner’s Office as Blake Webber, a Benicia resident, age 23. Authorities with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the motorcyclist was speeding along Lake Herman Road, missed negotiating a curve, and passed into the lane going westbound where it collided with the tractor-trailer around 11:15 a.m. 

Fatal Accident Occurs on Lopes Road 

A Benicia man who died in a solo motorcycle crash recently has been identified as 69-year-old Harold Bray, Jr. The accident occurred as the motorcycle rider headed south along Lopes Road close to the intersection with Marshview Road. While making a left turn, the report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said the rider was ejected from his bike.

Police Patrol Vehicle Fatally Strikes Benicia Pedestrian

During the very early morning of Wednesday, November 11, 2020, a pedestrian tragically suffered fatal injuries after being struck by a Benicia Police Department (BPD) patrol vehicle. According to authorities from the Solano County Sheriff’s Department (SCSD), the decedent was a man in his 30’s. However, officials are withholding the identity of the decedent pending his family’s notification. The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) as well as the Solano County District Attorney’s Office.

Benicia Man Identified After Fatal Crash

A fatal accident took place in Sausalito on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Two days later, on Thursday, February 28, 2019, authorities of Marin County Sheriff’s Department identified the fatally injured man as James Robert Morris, a 38-year-old resident of Benicia. The accident happened during the afternoon on a highway location and involved three vehicles, two of which were parked at the time of the collision. California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that they are actively investigating this tragic crash. Coroner Identifies Airman Killed in Benicia Truck Accident 

The name of an airman from Travis Air Force Base who died on August 4 following a crash with a tractor-trailer along the Benicia-Martinez Bridge was released by the coroner’s office in Solano County.
