Rollover Accident on I-80 Injures One Person

A rollover accident near Auburn on August 7 caused injuries to one person. The collision happened along westbound I-80 in Placer County near Clipper Gap. According to the Placer Hills Fire Protection District, one injured patient was transported to a hospital after suffering minor injuries. The freeway was shut down on the westbound side as California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers, firefighters and medics responded. The accident is being investigated to determine how the rollover occurred.

Accident on I-80 Near Clipper Gap Blocks Interstate

A vehicle rollover on August 7 near Auburn sent one person to the hospital. The accident occurred along westbound Interstate 80 close to Clipper Gap, according to Caltrans. The vehicle reportedly blocked most of the roadway and initially closed down the westbound lanes. 

Accident on Foresthill Road Kills One Person and Injures Four

A head-on crash in Foresthill on July 12 killed a man and injured a mother and three children. The accident happened along Foresthill Road near Drivers Flat Road around 3:00 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Foresthill is located northeast of Auburn. 

Accident on I-80 Occurs When Driver Loses Control

A solo vehicle crash caused major injuries to the driver in Auburn on June 5. The accident happened along eastbound I-80 just west of the Elm Avenue off-ramp. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported the driver of a Chevy Silverado lost control of their pickup, which went off the roadway and down an embankment on the right-hand side and overturned. 

Accident on I-80 Causes a Major Injury When Vehicle Leaves Road

A major injury happened in Auburn on May 4 when a driver lost control of their vehicle along westbound I-80. The accident happened just west of the Paoli Lane off-ramp around 7:35 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The vehicle reportedly flipped over several times, struck a wall and then went over and down an embankment about 15 feet on the right-hand side. 

Driver Flees on Foot From Two-Vehicle Collision

A hit-and-run that resulted in injuries occurred in Auburn on April 11 following a two-vehicle crash. The collision occurred around 8:59 a.m. along eastbound I-80 on the southbound SR 49 off-ramp, blocking two lanes. The accident report filed by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that the collision involved a Lexus and Ford Explorer after at least one of the vehicles spun out. 

Accident on SR 65 Involved Four Vehicles

 A chain-reaction crash happened in Auburn on March 21 involving four vehicles. The collision happened on southbound State Route 65 just north of Nelson Lane at about 7:48 in the morning. The crash involved a Honda Civic, Toyota Sequoia, Nissan truck and a Tesla, according to the report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and blocked the number one lane until around 8:30 a.m. Minor injuries were reported. The accident is under investigation by the CHP to discover how it happened and to assign fault.

Two-Vehicle Accident on Dry Creek Road Causes Serious Vehicle Damage

A head-on crash occurred in Auburn on February 8. The accident happened around 3:43 in the afternoon at the intersection of Dry Creek and Haines roads. The accident report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that the collision involved a Jeep Cherokee SUV and a Toyota Tacoma pickup. 

Accident on Bell Road off-Ramp Involves Pickup Pulling Trailer

An injury accident was reported in Auburn on January 28 when a pickup pulling a trailer experienced a rollover. The collision occurred around 12:43 p.m. along the eastbound Bell Road off-ramp just west of I-80 eastbound. The accident report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that a Chevy 2500 pulling a trailer with a bobcat on it overturned and was blocking the number two lane on the off-ramp. 

Accident on SR 49 Involves Head-on Collision

A head-on collision in Auburn on December 25 resulted in minor injuries to one person. The accident occurred on Christmas Day at around 7:47 p.m. along State Route 49, just south of Quarry Road. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the collision occurred between a Ford pickup and sedan. The vehicles blocked the middle of the roadway, and tow trucks had to remove them both. The accident is being investigated by the CHP to discover how it occurred and which driver was at fault.
